Clach both home and away yesterday apparently. Just as well both postponed!

Wick were due to play Musselburgh in the cup so there might have been a quick rearrangement to have Clach play Locos, although as Inverurie is around 90 miles from Inverness it's not the handiest rearrangement.

Spiers going properly off the deep end tonight.

He just always has to turn himself into a victim doesn't he?

I have no idea at all why some fairly credible people within Scottish football give him the time of day. He's always been a little worm.

Two arseholes making terrible points but Spiers not getting structural sexism wins the prize.

I think Hope Solo's point is about the type of criticism Spiers is making. It's one thing to say "Women goalkeepers are underdeveloped because of a lack of resources and training" (true), but it's a totally different thing to say "There is a biological reason why women cannot be good goalkeepers" (false).

One of those makes you look like you've thought a wee bit about why this is happening. The other makes you look like an idiot.

Yes, but that's what she should have said then.

Instead, she said he'd no right to a view because he'd never been a goalkeeper.

The headline for the Kilmarnock v Aberdeen match today. “Aberdeen power past 10 man Kilmarnock to go third.” Now it is actually factually correct, but to highlight the fact that Kilmarnock had 10 men for one kick of the ball is pushing it a little.

I've seen a fair bit of this recently.

It's mindless and constitutes a deliberate misrepresentation of events.

It's yet more evidence of this clamour to find an angle, to create a narrative, rather than just say what happened.

Presumably article also noted Celtic didn't play last midweek... and have moved game v Hibs onto a Monday (day after Rangers) for an overseas training camp, and in doing so also ruled-out catching-up on either adjacent midweek?

Absolute state of this headline.

They missed some games because they couldn't be arsed following Covid restrictions,  wanting a free week to prepare before they played a lower league team and are now planning on taking a week off for a training camp holiday.

Nothing to do with St Mirren, any fixture pile up is all of their own making.

That really does say it all.

The other clubs only exist at all in relation to the OF.  They are genuinely seen simply as making up numbers.

Probably true, although it's all about search engine optimisation with these headlines.

Obviously spiers has gone full ‘yer da’ there but I must admit when I’ve watched women’s football there has been some genuinely horrendous goalkeeping at times.

You can’t then extrapolate that to a ‘women are shit at goalkeeping’ viewpoint but it certainly has been noticeable.

I always had the feeling that if they got the ball on target there was a fair chance of scoring.
