Bad enough clowns can't pronounce it properly, but to actually SPELL it like this; shudder.

It might have been on OTB but one of the pundits continually referred to them as Auchinlech (possibly Rab Douglas).
Seriously, they're a fairly high profile Junior side and have been for years.

BBC's Connie McLaughlin,  even after looking at her Google maps,  is confident that Methil is in the "north east".......

Not sure if i heard her as well rambling on about not being sure if she was next to the north sea or the firth of forth as well.

That's good of you to protect his privacy, with the amount of Hong Kong-dwelling Dundee fans on here there's no way of knowing who it is

Now you mention it, Ip Man was from Hong Kong. Is he Dee Man's dad?

Oh well.

He rarely posts these days and I've never seen him mention he's in HK so his anonymity should remain intact.

I'll keep an eye on flights to Hong Kong from Edinburgh and if I see a Mr Waffen T Mint boarding I'll get in touch with him and tell him to go into hiding.

It’s believed the authorities are anxious about the potential for a repeat of the crowd trouble which shamed this fixture the last time it was selected for a Saturday night TV slot, more than 17 years ago back in January 2002.

On that night home fans spilled on to the pitch to confront Rangers supporters after Aberdeen striker Robbie Winters had been struck by a coin.

Premier Sport had hoped to cash in on the latest instalment of this fierce rivalry, which could come hot on the heals of a stormy 4-2 win for Rangers last week.

But they are now expected to agree to the wishes of the police.

That's about the game in 2002 when Rangers fans were ripping up and chucking their seats towards the pitch.

They didn't give a shit about the folk in the front rows. Front row folk went trackside and that's when it all went a wee bit ID in the south stand.

Tbf that's as poisonous an atmosphere as I've seen at Pittodrie, on both sides.  Everyone drunk and everyone very, very angry.

The crowd trouble however was quite blatantly started by one set of fans and persisted for a matter of minutes.  Robbie Winters was unable to take the corner for being pelted whilst being serenaded with some lovely songs  before a few drunk dafties from our end (and it was maybe 10 at most) decided to act hard.

I was in London for that match and went along to an Aberdeen supporting pub to watch it. There was a couple of Americans there too as guests and they had eyes like saucers at the antics on screen and the dons fans in the pub going raj. Especially when Amoruso scored. Oosht.
