A striker who apparently average less then a goal a season at senior level.

TBF he obviously pushed himself by playing at a far higher level than he should have,

He continues to push himself with a job at a level far higher than he deserves

Scotland almost certainly need to win their three remaining Group F games. If they do so, they will move to 20 points, a tally that could be surpassed by England and Slovakia, who meet at Wembley on Monday, and matched by Slovenia, who host Lithuania the same night.

Somebody at the BBC has got their sums wrong. Scotland would need to beat Slovenia (also on 11 points with 3 to play) to finish on 20 points, making it impossible for both teams to finish on that.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that the Scottish champions were ready to offer five times their record transfer fee paid in a bid to land on-loan Patrick Roberts on a permanent transfer but that Manchester City would not even entertain a bid of £30m. (The Scotsman)

A quick click on the link shows that Rodgers said nothing of the sort. You'd expect this pish from the daily record.

I saw the 30M headline and assumed it was nonsense given that Rodgers previously said Celtic bid 8M for him.  Still would be a club record but not 5 times the record

He doesn't say £30m.

He makes two statements

'we were willing to break our transfer record'

'we could have offered £30m and they still would have said no'

That is not saying they were willing to spend £30m.

It's also bullshit - there is not a hope Man City would have turned down £30million for Roberts, regardless of the mutterings from the great sage of Scottish football who is here to teach us all the error of our ways and how the game should be played.

Rangers and Celtic fans have their say over St. Johnstone star Michael O'Halloran.

Jesus Christ. Mind you, they will still complain of media bias when they are talking about another teams player who's fans don't get offered to have a say.

Good grief. That is one of the most surreal and saddest things I've ever seen. It's really a microcosm of the Scottish media's view of Scottish football. There really is no hope.

Carl McArdle, Lanarkshire , said: “As a Celtic fan I’m delighted that Wright won Manager of the Month.

“Tommy is a gentleman and knows his football inside out. I would love Brendan Rodgers to recruit him as I believe he could work wonders, especially with our defence.”

Delusional

Celtic fans are nauseating, a week doesn't go by without some random fud telling out official Twitter what a "great wee club we are and how it's shocking Tommy doesn't get more recognition", not one realising that nobody gives a single f**k about their patronising shite.

Hartley, who played for Celtic, Hearts and Hibernian, has had almost 250 matches as a manager and led Dundee to the top six in the Premiership in their first season back in the top flight.

Sure he played for some other teams as well........

Never heard of this James Flynn character. Can only assume he's on a serious windup.

Our “shock” result is going to come against Bayern Munich . They’re not the team they used to be. Aye they’ve got Lewandowski and he’s genuinely world-class, they’ve got Muller but he wants to leave. Robben and Ribery, who used to terrify defences with their pace and skill, are done.

This is one season too far for them. Their star signing of the summer was James Rodriguez, who made his name in the World Cup three years ago and has done little since. This team is here for the taking, they’re not the Bayern of old and the end of their era will be marked by a defeat at Parkhead. That will be our night of magic.
