tamthebam Posted July 5, 2015 Share Posted July 5, 2015 The Olympic Torch was first introduced to the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics and it was the fun loving National Socialists who introduced the idea for the 1936 Olympics of lighting it in Greece and having a relay from Greece to the host nation. I saw the thing go past the old Edinburgh Royal Infirmary back in 2012. I wasn't terribly impressed- see fag lighters with a better flame but there you are.
