I suppose it beats Labour and the Tories’ plans for keeping a dependent Scotland in Brexit Britain, which thus far amount to denying democracy, screaming “SNP BAD” through every available media outlet, and making things worse for everyone under the guise of MaKiNg BrExIt WoRk.

Does it really though...or is it perhaps just 2 sides of the same coin..

Depends which 'fleg' you want to wave...on the one hand the SNP and the saltire or the Tories and the union Jack. On one side 'Independence (as a concept) is all that matters..as said the mechanics of it....irrelevant...meanwhile keep people divided (ideally around 50:50 keeps the issue alive)

On the other side...'Get Brexit Done' (again, just as a concept), with the details of what that means and how it affects people...irrelevant. Meanwhile keep people divided, ideally 50:50.

2 sides of the same coin...or 2 cheeks of the same.......but principles of both..just the same

That certainly seems to be band Labour are paying tribute to. They do divisiveness on mogadon.

An Independent Scotland Under the SNP would be a sinister place for the half of the country not worshipping the Sturg.

The govt would become like a state religion, with 'undesireables' any opposing or criticising govt policy hounded...its all about division and a xenophobia towards dissenters...whether that dissent is over the NHS, Education, public services, the GRA, doesn't matter..its about shutting dissent and 'other' voices down...and in an Independent SNP country it would only get worse

I take it you mean an independent Scotland ushered in by the SNP? In a democracy the voters in an independent Scotland will then get a chance to vote in the party of their choice. Although currently the opposition are not really showing themselves as willing to take part in the drive to independence. I wonder if Tory and Labour will melt away or magically embrace the chance for power. Or will voters ask difficult questions like "why are you now backing independence after fighting against it for so long?"

"worshipping the Sturg" 😂. Jeezo.

You’re basing this on Labour/the Tories’ Brexit Britain, aren’t you? Because that’s what you’re describing.

The state of you! Your beloved Labour Party are so sinister that they actively worked against their own party during a general election to ensure they lost! Sinister? Not even close to the disgusting, repugnant closet Tories that you support.

'Democracy in an Independent Scotland' 😁

The Sturg will maintain an iron grip of control in an Independent Scotland 'ushered in' by the SNP...wouldn't be surprised to see busts on street corners and large banners with the 'dear leader' on them in fact.

The idea of 'opposition' in an SNP ushered Independence is a complete fantasy and a tool used to try and persuade waverers that they would have 'choice' post-Indy

As said..it would be a climate whereby public criticism of the govt would be difficult..don't imagine any protest marches being passed etc

Hmm.. still not quite a state religion which the SNP now are/aspire to entrench though. What is repugnant is demonising half of your own population (Scotland) and taking a hard line against dissent from that 50% or so...stirring up an intense hatred of those who are 'outside' the faithful, and ensuring that in a post-Independent country that those who dissent will most certainly not be 'welcome'

f**k me, they're banning voting. SNPreallyreallybad.

Not quite..(I did laugh at that 😀), but when you have opposition who will be shouted down as quizlings/enemies of the state, just there to hold back the new dawn etc, don't think you will see anyone else in government for some time to come.

And we can have Humza getting folk to inform on their families and neighbours while pursuing 'thought crimes' to his hearts content.

One thread on a football forum where you're expressing a minority opinion does not mean we're living in North Korea. Especially in a country where every newspaper but one agrees with you.

As the UK is the state, I can only assume this is your view of how anyone not willing to “make Brexit work” is going to be shouted down or accused of thought crimes in Britain for the foreseeable future.

Labour draped themselves in the butcher's apron at their last conference - or did you forget about that?

Come off it lads - I've seen quite a few of your names on the waiting list for positions at the new Yoon Re-Education Camps.

Personally, I'm looking forward to my new role at the Ministry of Alteration. Be seeing you soon, @Jedi.
