That assumption is irrelevant, there is nothing in legislation that states that pension are paid on that assumption.  Quite clearly there is an liability created at the point NI is collected as shown in my previous post.

The only reason that you are astonished is that you completely misunderstand the contract between the state and the worker in relation to pensions.  Here is my current pension record -

This is sufficient to collect a full state pension in the UK.  I can stop working tomorrow and when I turn 67, get my full pension from the UK without contributing another bean to the treasury.  Why would the SG suddenly become liable for that if I happened to live in Scotland.  I see that you ignored the earlier scenarios in regards to who pays.

Q1. If I decide to move to England when I am 66 years and 364 days old having not paid a single pound in NI to the SG government, who pays my pension?
Q2. If I decide to move to England when I am 67 years and 1 day old having not paid a single pound in NI to the SG government, who pays my pension?
Q3.

If I decide to move to England now having not paid a single pound in NI to the SG government, who pays my pension?

If your answer to all 3 is not the UK government then I despair.

He has, as have i.

We seem to be banging our heads against a brick wall.

Better just let it rest for now.

I have read back your posts and can't find your answers, so here is the opportunity for you to be quite clear

Q1 - Scottish Government / UK government

Q2 - Scottish Government / UK government

Q3 - Scottish Government / UK government

I’m on holiday just now and my wife is getting annoyed with me spending time on this.

Ill be back in a week or so.

Given this week's replacement of the worst PM ever with the new worst PM ever, combined with the BBC's compulsory forelock tugging to the power of infinity and beyond, I'm more hopeful than ever before. The entire population of Scotland, with the possible exception of Alister Jack, will be uncontrollably projectile vomiting by this time tomorrow. I think reality will finally sink in...

It would have taken the same amount of time to answer the questions as you have taken to post an excuse not to answer them.

It would be impossible to lose an indy2 now, though the snp could probably still manage it

The First Hypocrite ( @Antlion) has just endorsed the AoU, the right of Scotland to be protestant and the notion of a hereditary monarchy.

She just chucked Scotland under a bus state landau.

You should be raging.

Anyone claiming that any of this ceremonial nonsense over the last few days is some sort of gotcha, or somehow contradicts the stated aims of the SNP is either (or both) an idiot, or completely dishonest.

*fingers crossed behind her back*  tripe.

There is not a week goes by without the case for Independence becoming more urgent.  The absolute nonsense surrounding the death of the head of a dysfunctional, entitled, corrupt, archaic hereditary monarchy is proof positive once again.

Getting shot of them following Independence is down the priority list but ridding ourselves of the institution and undercutting those toadies who support its continuance will be a huge step in shaping a modern, democratic, secular country and society.

I miss the original IndyRef days when monarchists were incredulous at the idea of Alec Salmond being democratically appointed as Head of State. They seemed absolutely determined that would be what happened without the Windsors running the show, and it was just the worst thing they could imagine, not because of anything in particular he might say or do, but because he'd absolutely fucking love that, wouldn't he? Eh? President Salmond? That's what he wants. He'd fucking love it.

Winding themselves up something awful over the idea, yet unable to properly articulate why without admitting that democracy's a bit shite, and it's much better to have these decisions taken out of the hands of the plebs in case those idiots voted for the wrong person.

Leaving aside the politicising  of a 96 year old pensioner's death, | was interested in the quote by Tom Harris

The last great setback for the Snp was the Indyref in 2014. As Tom feels that a generation has passed since then, maybe Labour are coming round to the view that Indyref2 is inevitable?

Or maybe they use different definitions of generation depending on context?

Is this the same former socialist turned alt-righter Tom Harris, who dedicated the last several years to dealing fatal blows to political unions?
