Hopefully at some point after independce some Scottish newspapers will appear with higher quality and a better coverage and outlook. The National was literally started as a cynical cash-in by Newsquest when they realised that they could just copy their regular pre-indy columnists into a different paper and people would buy it because the Herald had gone full-on Ian Paisley. It was only meant to be around for a couple of months.
