Totally surprised that since I mentioned a few days ago that The SNP had a created a Scottish Central Bank with 2 Billion funding back in Nov 2020 that none of the unionists on here have mentioned it nor welcomed the fact that Scotlands application to join the EU will be acceptable now that we have The Scottish National Investment Bank which will be able to issue our own currency.

2bn sounds peanuts, Sandy.

What has it invested in since incorporation?

Prestwick Airport

Ferries

Any ideas?

Seem to recall RBS went down for around 50bn.

The Scottish National Investment Bank has been set up by the SNP Government purely in preparation for Independent Scotland's  application to join the EU where it will be Scotlands Central Bank as required by the application process.

However that shouldn't stop you applying for a loan to The SNB to fund new roller skates or a tricycle. Enjoy yersel.

‘Up to Scottish people’ whether second independence referendum is held, Cabinet minister says

Given that he has reduced a generation to 25( even if no such time period was ever mentioned) rather than the 40 of Alister Jack, his Cabinet position looks shaky---if he sticks by what he said. He will soon row back and say he was misquoted.

Christ, this whole process of politicians plucking figures out of the air as it suits them is incredibly tedious. Starting to understand why some folk are so desperate to just UDI and skip straight to the end game.

Not desperate enough to agree, but seriously, who gives a f**k what some chancing politico thinks about Scottish independence.

I'm looking for a sincere answer here from people that would class themselves as pro Indy, trolls need not apply.

If the UK had voted to Remain in the EU what argument would you be making re fluid democracy, a lot of people say that Brexit was a material change, if there wasn't this material change would anyone here admit to not thinking there should be a referendum for a considerable amount of time or would you have been the same level of expectancy over a referendum?

I'd have thought 10yrs was reasonable if opinion polls were showing a growing appetite, regardless of Brexit.

Serious answer... if the people of Scotland elect a government who campaign with the intention of holding an independence referendum, then that should be a clear enough mandate. To deny this is clearly undemocratic.

The combination of Brexit coupled with a BJ government was always going to hasten demands for indyref2.

So theoretically we would have a referendum every time that the SNP gained a majority?

The Conservative Party won in December.

Why bother having another election?

One vote should in a lifetime should be enough.
