Sherrif John Bunnell
Johnson reckons Blair's worst crime was bringing in Devolution and Blair reckons his own worst decision was to introduce FOI legislation. I feel like they are both ignoring the elephant sized WMD dossier in the room.

Mind you he's in the shite in england with the covid crisis so he'll come up with any crap to appease the rabid right wing unionists. but....but.....there was the VOW...that's only strengthened the Scottish Parliament......most devolved parliament in the world...six years on I am sure all of that has been implemented hasn't it.. David Cameron signed every copy of the Daily record himself....didnt he?
Merkie84
Labour set up the devolved parliaments to run as their own little fiefdoms for the times they would inevitably be out of power in Westminster. Nothing to do with empowering or providing better representation for the people they rule over. When they were set up labour was used to thumping majorities in Scotland and Wales and couldn’t see a time when they would be any worse than senior coalition partners in either chamber. It could be argued than Scottish labour never seen the SNPs 2007 win coming and still haven’t recovered from it. The time to speak up for devolution was in 2012 when the format and question of the referendum was being debated. Had they offered a devo max option then, it would likely have won and maybe seen a resurgence of their fortunes As it was, they went for a straight yes/ no referendum and stood shoulder to shoulder with the tories on the no side. They made their bed, they should be prepared to lie in it.
Miguel Sanchez
Noted proven liar Alistair Carmichael was on the BBC earlier giving it the "they said it was once in a generation" shite again When he was asked if a win for the SNP in the elections meant people wanted another referendum he basically short circuited, it was quite fun

DeeTillEhDeh
May's Scottish Parliament elections are crucial - there needs to be a concerted effort to get a huge independence majority. The only way to achieve that is voting SNP in the constituency and Green on the list (bar one area).

In 1987 North Sea oil and gas fields in the East Shetland basin were at peak production, further gas fields were mainly off Hull and Yarmouth and Morecombe Bay was in late exploratory mode but soon to be in production, the government owned Britoil in the early eighties was exploratory drilling off Blackpool, offshore BP'S Dorset's Wytch farm and on the east coast of england. The area which was brought into england by moving the boundary was unknown geologically but given successes elsewhere it was thought that the area could be productive, however drilling proved otherwise. One area which is thought to be rich in minerals is the Firth of Clyde but owing to Faslane's location and nuclear submarine movements any exploratory work is denied, west of there Dublins Kish gas bank has been productive.

Guest Bob Mahelp
Where as Uber-Yoons will be agreeing with Johnson like wee nodding dogs, I'm a bit baffled with the Tories doubling down on Johnson's garbage by saying that the 'majority of Scots' agree with him. The 'majority' of Scots clearly and most definitely do not agree with him, and that has been the case for 23 years. Scots of all political persuasions want devolution. This seems like a rather risky tactic by the Tories. It gives the SNP the world's biggest open goal come May next year. Are they just fucking stupid, or is there another reason behind this.
