Going by the current mood any Scottish elections based on independence could see Sturgeon lose her day job never an independence mandate. The silent majority would pick the best horse in each area to stop that happening
I wouldn't be too sure - Labour got a lot of those left-leaning independence votes at the last election - not so sure they'd keep them this time round - and going by polls they wouldn't.

So, anti-independence voters would unite behind anti-independence candidates, regardless of other issues and concerns, simply to defeat pro-independence SNP candidates. But it's the SNP and pro-independence voters who are obsessed with issue of independence at the expense of everything else. Right, that definitely makes sense.

I’m sure the state of our education system, hospitals and additional taxation being imposed on the hard working will also drive votes to the best other candidate

Each time the NHS in Scotland is questioned a comparison to down south is  made. Can we not compare current performance of NHS Scotland to that of a few years back and see how rosy everything looks?

With an aging population and increasing bed blocking, alongside high costs of drugs, it makes more sense comparing with down south than going back in time.

Indeed, and let's also check how many folks were reliant on food banks, the relative levels of child poverty, how many people were on zero hours contracts and the Scottish annual suicide rate.

The opposition/ press love to batter into the SNP because of some PISA slippage but forget to mention the near 50% improvement in Higher grades under the SNP.

When faced with the choice of returning the current government or voting in Ruth, Willie or Richard Leonard its a no brainer.

The problems in education, healthcare etc won’t be fixed by any other party. The SNP are pretty shit but they’re far and away the only competent party and the only viable governing one.

Really? A competent party wouldn’t be pumping hundreds of millions of pounds into health on the qt to fix waiting times that have reached record levels. Much of this is finding its way to private providers who have set up specialist services knowing they have a long term flow of patients coming. Who’d have thought Scotland would be adopting the english model of reliance on private healthcare. A few years ago this would never have happened up north. Perhaps it’s time to see if one of the other mobs could do better as things are dire currently

Not according to Jackass Carlaw - he predicts The Tank Commander as next FM.

The SNP need to be far louder about the fiscal mess the Tories are making - the reason we are now seeing real cuts in Scotland is because of the fall in real terms of the Scottish Government block grant.

They need to be shouting this from the rooftops.
They've been shouting it for years. No one gives a f**k. It's all the SNPs fault.
