When you die, I'm voting for @Cardinal Richelieu

Good shout, buddy.  Even a week on The Quiz Thread will show you that The Big Cardi couldn't run a fucking menage.  Whilst his background may exempt him as Bishop of Rome his blundering oafishness certainly qualifies him as Scotland's next First Minister.  Eminently.

Indeed. Some fellow Scots are bitter though. You're welcome across to our side any time though. Why stay with a UK govt that's patently incompetent? Anne Budge might as well sell Hearts to Celtic as that 'unity' may mean more success... broad shoulders an aw that pash.

I doubt it.

In my experience, Scottish Nationalists are extraordinarily bad at forgiveness and acceptance and tolerance.

Did you @crubag vote for before 2020 here?

I am a Nationalist and I forgive you.  I accept that most of the things you post on here are pro union and I tolerate your views.  I do not agree with them, but I accept your opinion and tolerate it, however warped it may be.

You're being overly generous. Anyone who generalises to the extent of calling those who support independence as being part of a cult deserves no respect at all. In the same way as the now departed Peppino didn't command or deserve any respect, this idiot is due the square root of f**k all respect. He stands beside George Foulkes on the respectometer.  That's a very low bar.

Why do people get so uptight about Braveheart?  It's a Hollywood blockbuster with 5 Academy awards. Introduced the story of Wallace and the wars of independence to a worldwide audience and those ignorant of their countries history in Scotland. It wasn't a documentary it was a movie, and a good movie at that.

Tommy Sheridan will show it on Saturday - so what?

Yes. Those ignorant of their countries history can become even more ignorant.

Its a movie. A good one. A work of fiction based on a true story.

It would appear one of its greatest legacies is how twenty odd years later, it still gets britnats in a right tizz.

This. Main historical points are accurate from what I remember. Who gives a shit if he actually got off with a French princess or not...

Not relevant to the Yes movement but if some folk want to screen it then who cares?

I love the specificity that it would be the second film in particular.

The series would be a nice allegory for the Union, in many ways.

The first, er, era sees a few people that don't want to be there hastily joined together by someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

The second era, where we're currently residing, is in black and white as it's led by someone with mother issues who wants to recreate past glories on an even larger scale, but who gets overcome by his own hubris.

The third era takes place in a squalid jail where 70-odd people get joined. One of them is Bree Olson, a former porn star who was one of Charlie Sheen's live-in girlfriends when he had his Tiger Blood phase.

I don't want to say that The Human Centipede 3 is what the United Kingdom will resemble in ~50 years if it still exists but the timeline is there.

There's folk out there who genuinely think the independence movement exists due to Braveheart. Bless.

What would be the big film for the Unionist cause?

I've been to all of the  hope over fear rallys and they are a good excuse to have a few beers and drop in and out of the rally, last years wasn't too busy but I like the vibe from them as they have some good and some bad speakers and performers but everyone gets a chance. I quite like Tommy too for all his faults and his comrades and brothers rhetoric. The evening when Gerry Cinnamon sang hope over fear was great and they wont get that sort of event again but fair play they seem to be more the voice of the scheme than the politicos. will probably pop up for a bit on saurday weather permitting.
