Jings this place is full of humourless killjoys these days.I am curious as to which age group would be best for mocking the importance of a politics topic on a football forum ?

So Nicola ponders that Oct this year is the time renew the process of setting a date for a 2nd Ref? Even with the clusterf*ck that is Brexit at her disposal it is clear that a groundswell of opinion has yet to emerge to give her a confident and solid assurance that YES will prevail this time.
She”s a tough gig right enough, juggling the balance between appeasing the more radical within the separatist movement and convincing the undecided that the time is right, whilst the Scottish Government becomes increasingly exposed in its ability to handle complete autonomy. A view perhaps borne out in the results of the last GE in Scotland.
The noise for a 2nd Ref even on P&B has seen a noticeable decline over the past 12 months.
Would the UK Government grant another Ref before the final Brexit Deal is decided upon and implemented. If so. does it confuse the issue for Scottish voters even further, being unsure of how the future will look as part of the UK and the EU (or not).
A fascinating game on the table, when does she go ‘all in’ !?

Seems unlikely.  General Elections in Scotland are never fought on Holyrood records, and is part of the reason that, 2015 aside, the SNP always did much better at Holyrood than Westminster. That is even if you assume that the Scottish Government is increasingly exposed, or that people can't comprehend how the overlapping responsibilities, where the bulk of powers are reserved is so far and away from 'complete autonomy' so as to make comparisons between the current devolved administration and any notional independent government completely pointless. Add to that the GE results where the main switching axes were from the SNP to the Tories in the North East (where the Tories were traditionally strong and the Brexit and Unionist sentiment relatively high (and a few Labour joke candidates) and, far larger, the SNP to did not vote in the Central Belt.

The last GE then, seems to be a mix of a listless SNP campaign that couldn't find a good hook and Brexit-Unionist tactical voting in the North East. The '15 result was, in retrospect completely unsustainable, and the last GE still resulted in a massive number of SNP seats dwarfing all other parties.

As for P+B, there isn't much else to be said that hasn't already been said. The last Panelbase polling showed a majority of Scottish voters want the timing of the referendum to be decided by Edinburgh, not London and as Spain showed recently, the best way of trashing your own brand is to come across as authoritarian and uninterested in the views of the people. Denying a referendum is long term suicide - it swaps a possibility of losing now for a definite of losing later.

Why do you dislike the SNP so much?

They are a sidetrack or a diversion holding out something that they continually fail to deliver.A one trick policy pony that is shaping up to fail once again. As regards being left of centre they merely pop on a few of Labour's old pre Blairite clothes and everyone is supposed to believe it despite scant evidence other than rhetoric.I also think separation for Scotland would be an economic disaster that would outweigh any gains considerably.I also can find no place in supporting something with such a cultish mentality as the SNP. Perhaps not every member but a far above normal percentage of supporters with blinkers and earplugs in to any suggestion of failings in the Party. If every MP is parroting the same lines as a matter of following the "rule book" you might as well send one MP to vote 35 times and save us a bit of cash.

Not changing your mind then.

Continually? Could you expand on this?

After this mornings "Scotland's Place in Europe" report showing it will cost is £12.7b to leave the EU on a hard Brexit. Even the most optimistic deal we get will have a cost to Scotland.

In my opinion it now makes it impossible for the FM to not to go ahead with indyref2 later this year

I've always given you the benefit of the doubt before, assuming a bit of banter and light trolling in your posts, but that is complete and utter fuckwittery of the highest order.
