Reid
Thought Gikiewicz would’ve went to a better side than Augsburg. He’s been excellent.
Sherrif John Bunnell
It seems like Schalke could be heading for Das Seasideliga in the near future.

German Jag
Eintracht Braunschweig sealed Promotion to BL2 last night, so the traditional derby to look "forward" to next Season for H96. Würzburg need a point in the last set of games (Sunday) to join them, with 4 teams (Ingolstadt, Duisburg, Rostock & 1860) looking to achieve the play-off spot against 1.FC Nürnberg. Preussen Münster join Großaspach & Jena in being relegated to their respective Regionalligas. The last remaining relegation spot is between Zwickau & Chemnitz. lZwickau leapfrogged above Chemnitz last night beating them 2-1 with a late goal. After 2 draws between Lokomotiv Leipzig & SC Verl, SC Verl go up to 3. Liga via the away goal rule. Tonight Werder Bremen at home to FC. Heidenheim in the play-off for the top league, return leg is on Monday. Saturday is German Cup final between Leverkusen & Munich. As regards start dates for next Season, looking likely that the BL will recommence on September 18th, with BL2 starting on the last weekend in August. As to whether any fans (and in what numbers) will be allowed, is still a long way from being decided upon.

I imagine the behaviour of the Aalborg fans in the Danish Cup final the other night will put off a few leagues from allowing fans back into grounds anytime soon

Which is how it finished. A shite game overall in absolutely horrendous conditions. Torrential rain with a bit of hailstones thrown in. Can see another shitfest on Monday with Bremen sneaking it on penalties.
German Jag
SV Hamburg and Trainer Dieter Hecking go their seperate ways following the club's decision not to renew his contract after failing to get promoted or even into the play-off spot. 1.FC Nürnberg, St. Pauli and now HSV all looking for trainers. Presumably Daniel Stendel will end up at one of them. Edited July 4, 2020 by German Jag

Sherrif John Bunnell
Bayer getting an absloute hiding in the cup final. Their keeper pretty much threw in the third goal. Edited July 4, 2020 by Sherrif John Bunnell
David W
I can't remember many games where there were so many occasions that a team were through down the wing and couldn't manage to complete a simple pass into the centre for a tap-in. Must have happened four or five times, with Diaby the main culprit. Bayern were probably always going to win but Leverkusen didn't half make it easy for them.
JMDP
Belter of an own goal to kick off the second leg of the relegation play off. Does away goals count at all in this btw? -

Hopefully make for an interesting game. Fair play to Heidenheim in trying to get some atmosphere, but club employees battering pots & pans together with air-raid sirens on non-stop is starting to grate!

Ingo ohne Flamingo
Wanted Heidenheim to win this but after seeing this pish with employees rattling cowbells and fucking drums, that pish is tinpot material, keep them down.

craigkillie
Heidenheim have shown zero quality here, no surprises their goal was a big fluke.
Sherrif John Bunnell
That was a dire two legs of football. Bremen have a huge rebuilding job on their hands if they want to get back to challenging for Europe.

Fuctifano
Bremen were the better team but away goals in a domestic playoff in empty stadia doesn't seem right.
