Mr. Brightside
Super Cup on the now. Good game so far. Neuer just flew out to the halfway line getting no where near Alcacer. He's been mince the past year and a bit.
German Jag
A disappointing 1-1 at home to Jahn Regensburg for H96‘s first home game of the season. H96 with loads of possession but otherwise a lot of huffing & puffing. Zieler saved a penalty just before half-time. 2nd half H96 eventually took a deserved lead with a Weydandt header, after Duksch had missed an absolute sitter 5 minutes earlier. Regensburg equalised 10 minutes from the end courtesy of shite goalkeeping from Zieler, and almost took all 3 points with a shot which thankfully rebounded of the post in injury time. Next weekend is the 1st round of the DFB-Pokal. Still considering whether to travel down to Karlsruhe for a Monday 18:30 k/o.
Stellaboz
Sparse looking crowd, is that normal or has interest dropped with relegation?

In saying that the HDI Arena (Niedersachsen Stadion) is too big for H96 when not in the top division. Will sell-out when Hamburg, St. Pauli, Nürnberg & Stuttgart come calling. For the other teams, will obviously depend on league position but mid 30 thousand average is to be expected. Doesn't look great in itself, although I gather Strasbourg is lovely and a short hop across the border.
German Jag
Was there in March 2017 for the H96 game. From the main station to the stadium is a nice enough walk with stuff like the palace and so on.After the game was on the 1st ICE heading North. Most of the cities in that neck of the woods, Saarbrücken, Baden-Baden, Freiburg etc. are worth a visit.
AyrTroopMajor
An absolute pounding for Nurnberg at the hands of Hamburg last night, and on their own patch as well. As someone who has a fiver on them bouncing straight back to the Bundesliga, I would urge Damir Canadi and the lads to f****g waken up.

Nürnberg have lodged a protest regarding the validity of the result due to the ongoing discussion regarding the 'identity' of Bakery Jatta. Jatta arrived in 2015 from Gambia (via Sahara, Med, Italy etc.). As part of medical checks following trials with Hamburg when he was 17, doubts were expressed regarding his actual age. Investigations by the Bild "newspaper" claim that he is not who he claims to be and is 2-3 years older and was already a football professional prior to arriving in Germany. As such, this would mean that the conditions for the issuance of his initial refugee status & subsequent residence permit would have been voided and that any subsequent residency papers would also be invalid. the Bild is a right-wing anti-immigrant rag, think the Sun, but interesting to see how this pans out. SV Hamburg have requested that the DFB/DFL make a decision asap in order to avoid pending or further point deductions.
Ingo ohne Flamingo
If anyone is doing any football weekenders. Borussia Mönchengladbachs home games will all likely be on a Sunday given that all Europa league ties are taking place on the Thursday before each scheduled home game. Only the evening Saturday kick off v Schalke04 being the exception. Bit of a shiter but you get good flights into Eindhoven from Edinburgh on a Friday afternoon (or Sunday morning) and back on the Monday afternoon (there is a Sunday morning flight at 1030 as well but f**k that) Borussia got Augsburg on Saturday the 5th of October but this will likely be a Sunday game. 42quid Ryanair Sunday to Monday effort (Edinburgh to Eindhoven return)

Needless to say that hasn't hit the headlines over here so I wasn't aware of that at all. Cheers. Hopefully the result is nullified and a wee 2-0 win is awarded to Der Club to boost their promotion hopes* Spoiler *and my finances
Am Featha Taigh Nan Clach
Waiting until public sale for Köln Hertha tickets, got a mate coming from London and a Berlin fan in Bonn for a day out. I'm also going to this game. I'm presuming although there won't be many tickets left for the public sale, there will be the usual few hundred up in the corners?
