Yet another US shooting

Recommended Posts

So in this perfect world where every good citizen is carrying a concealed weapon,, a shot rings out in a church and 80 good guys whip out their firearm, look around and see 80 other people waving their own guns around while shots continue to ring out.

This sounds like a much safer society than one where no-one carries guns.

Works for Switzerland.

Are you saying they shouldn't have shot him (before he killed 8 other people) in case the bullet went through him and killed 1 person?

No i'm saying that neither he, nor anyone else there should have had a gun.

But to follow your ridiculous slavering, i am saying it is better for one nutter to go unchallenged before appropriate law enforcement arrives when compared to the inevitable number of accidental deaths that arming church congregations would generate.

The fact that bullets have an annoying habit of passing through things is really just the icing on your fruitcake.

It's sad when it happens and something has to change. Gun legislation wouldn't have stopped him getting a gun.

People and the media using it as a petty we're better than them exercise is no better.

Quite tired of making the same arguments against everyone's media fed garbage tbh.

Aw, have some red bull, a cold shower and a quick hand shandy over this months horse and hound and justify your nonsense. Come on.

If it's just that guns are cool and you like them then that's ok. It's just not an argument that stacks up.

Gun legislation wouldn't have stopped him getting a gun.

It could have made it a lot more difficult and put him at risk of been put away for illegal possession of a weapon before he decided to go on a murder spree.

It might have slowed him down a bit.

AFAIK his dad gave him the gun, which despite his conviction and mental health problems wasn't illegal.

If it was maybe his dad wouldn't have given him it.
