I love the fact that in a season where a relegation contender has transformed themselves into title contenders, reigning champions Chelsea are in mid-table, West Ham have challenged for a top 4 place, and Spurs have challenged for the title, Arsenal are still in 4th place with a few games to go. Some things don't change.

Big failure from Arsenal imo. The likes of Spurs, Man United and Chelsea have all been pretty shambolic at one point or another recently, Arsenal haven't motivated themselves to take advantage of that, and Spurs have now shot past them while they've stood still in 4th.

Wenger needs to go now imo, no excuses for Arsenal potentially finishing 4th in one of the weakest Premierships ever, especially when it will be behind Leicester, Spurs and an inconsistent Man City. If it wasn't for his stubbornly mental transfer policy and squad selection, Arsenal would have been title favourites. Doubt he'll ever be sacked though.

It's pretty much classic Arsenal. Look quite good, get near 1st, but monumentally shite it as soon as you begin to look like potential champions, before sliding down to the usual 3rd or 4th place.

FFS it says all you need to know when Stan Collymore has the moral high ground in ranting between dickheads on twitter.

What a fucking cock Lescott is.

Considering how ugly Lescott manages to be, I suspect that placing a dick on his head would probably improve his appearance.

Aye, probably time for them to take the plunge if they ever will. He's undoubtedly a legendary figure within the club but they've pretty much been stagnant for nigh on a decade on, with no signs of actually fixing any of the problems that have continually held them back. Not sure who would replace Wenger, but they're surely at a point where it'd be better to take the risk with a new manager instead of finishing 3rd/4th yet again.

Klingonist comment IMHO.

It looks like he's already had one removed.

Yep, see it most seasons when they're near or on the top a few months in, then they buckle under the pressure and do just enough to finish 4th. Think it's become acceptable to just finish 4th for the players.

Think the Arsenal board will look at what happened to Man U once Ferguson left and feel reluctant to do anything. Tbf to Wenger I like that he doesn't jump in to the transfer window and spunk cash on several players, but he's way to cautious. Like an old penny pinching pensioner with millions stored in the bank. They've needed a top class striker for years now(and they're always linked to one) but they always seem to miss out then keep going with Walcott or some other diddy up front.
