lithgierose
? Do the gates at friendly games get split ? Or does the home team help with cost of bus for away team ?
kilsythblue
? Do the gates at friendly games get split ? Or does the home team help with cost of bus for away team ?would think cost of officials and facility's and hospitality it would be a bit much to expect a share of the gate which in my experience is usually a couple of quid for a friendly. If cost of visiting bus is factored in canny see many teams from far a field welcomed

pleslie99
Sorry if this is a dumb question but why are teams not allowed to play until 18th July? Surely it's up to the team's when they start preparation for the next season?
lang
Can start preparing, just can't play matches. Gives refs and officials a wee break
Arthurlie1981
Can start preparing, just can't play matches. Gives refs and officials a wee break Doesnt really give refs a break as some of the refs for Juniors will be doing senior friendlies etc. IMO if teams want to play then let them play if they want to wait then fine. garrellburn
Sorry if this is a dumb question but why are teams not allowed to play until 18th July? Surely it's up to the team's when they start preparation for the next season? The West Region delegates voted to keep it 3rd Saturday in july at recent AGM. The proposal was for 1st Sat but knocked back. Clubs will be fined if they take part friendlies any earlier, even if they are outside the region. The Almighty has spoken. surely not!
Can start preparing, just can't play matches. Gives refs and officials a wee break what really gives officials a break is when the season actually finishes in mid May and then the friendlies don't start til the start of july. It's the end of the season that kills it- not the start of pre season games.
