The Greenock Morton Thread - It's Better Than Yours

Recommended Posts

We’ve known he wasn’t staying for months; the likely alternatives were going to Dundee or Partick and this way he won’t be playing against us next season.

As for Muirhead, that’s the kind of gamble we’re going to be making. A player whose reputation has hit a low point but is young enough that turning his career round isn’t out of the question. Every signing we make this summer is going to be a risky one, but at least by the sounds of it Hopkin knows exactly how he’s planning to use him, rather than going down the McInally or Duffy route of signing players for the sake of it without any idea of how to get the best out of them.

shows how big a club we are if we can entice your best player to drop down a league

Wondered when we’d see your wee face again, after throwing a hissy fit about Morton fans in your thread despite polluting this one often enough. All the “Xs” at the end of your posts convince nobody, you’re an absolute mess of a club and nobody’s jealous. Nae luck.

Tidser thinking...

giphy.gif

"Professional pride or money? Hmmmmm. Money".

giphy.gif

"Ambition to play at the highest level I can or money? Hmmmm. Money".

giphy.gif

"Play for a manager who recently achieved back to back promotions rather than one who somehow managed to relegate Falkirk into the seaside league without the aid of admin/points deductions or just take the money? Hmmmm. Money".

All this Falkirk/Morton bullshit aside how will Tidser and Buchanan be in League 1? Tidser should be quality but not so sure about Buchanan.

he was only loan, not getting regular games, change of manager etc etc. Players dont always work out at clubs for whatever reason, we have certainly had our fair share!

We signed him, he wasn't on loan, his first manager was AJ who had him at Kilmarnock and rated him so much he resigned when the board signed him behind his back, his next manager was Crawford who had him at Hearts and signed him for Mk Don's, I don't think either of those reasons were the problem. The problem is Muirhead, on the plus side he alone can change that.

Good signing. Tore us apart in the 3/0 game in Dec at EEP. It’s happening...emoji145.png

That was his only acceptable performance all season and even then he wasn't great.

It's cool, you lot said the same about Forbes and chugged yourself silly that we threw you Barrowman.

Hoppy will have him score 20, 6 against your rabble.

Would've said the same about Buchanan aswell, wonder why you've left that out?

He doesn't strike me as a Hoppy type of player at all, certainly not like any who he had at Livingston.

He's got it within himself to be a good player but I have absolutely no idea what's up with him, he's definitely not applied himself properly as a footballer for a couple of seasons, this is his last chance in full time football, if he gets to grips with that he might be the player his potential suggested he had years ago.

He scored most of his goals coming in off the left in the reserves.

I've seen enough of Tidser but can't say I've seen enough of Buchanan to have an opinion that's why I'm not sure!
