Did muirhead sign a 6 or 12 month contract at start if season? Hopefully he will be told to get his boots and f**k off sooner rather than later

Im sure it was a one year deal. Absolutely no chance of him leaving.

We've done it... we own the Ton... we own the ground...

Credit to everyone involved with MCT, including the ordinary members.

Now let's see what we can do with it...

Hoping to see a three year plan in place for us to score a goal.

Well done to the Morton fans involved. Hopefully the general support aren’t quite as divided and volatile as it appears on here at times to be.

If that were the case Inverclyde would have spontaneously combusted long ago……..     🙄         But I suppose the same could be said about most supports on here; not many folk come on to P&B looking for a reasonable or balanced debate.

I’m not sure about that most other teams try to put on a bit of a united front on here. Hopefully it works out ok for Morton though.

‘Most other teams’ are like cats in a sack when things aren’t going well (and sometimes even when they are). Threads like Arbroath, which tends to stay pretty calm, are the exception, rather than the rule.

Congratulations Morton fans and I sincerely hope this changes your fortunes for the better. Not this Saturday , though.
The Arbroath thread may appear calm but only in recent times, since a few years of success. I can assure you that the Lichties can indulge in some serious internecine strife when we’re struggling.

Aye. All it takes is a suggestion about Scott Stewart being a right back and it’s World War 3 in there too.

Generally speaking, and I’m sure there are plenty of examples out there to prove me wrong so I get it, I feel like other clubs fans usually agree with each other and tend to all want to push in the same direction whereas Morton fans seem to be at a constant civil war regardless of whether things are going well or not.

Stop digging, man... even a couple of the Arbroath lads have come on and agreed that infighting is more or less the norm, especially when a team is struggling. That's just the way it is (have a wee look at the Ayr or Dunfermline threads or -- God help us all -- Falkirk from the past couple of seasons if you're in any doubt about that).

In any case, there's absolutely nothing wrong with people disagreeing with one another, even to the point where it gets a bit fraught; the alternative would be as dull as some of the football we watch.

I was always reluctant when folk spoke about fan ownership at Ayr because I know how quickly some of the fans abandon ship when we're shite

Be interesting to see how this goes at Morton, in many ways a similar sized club and a similar sized town to Ayr. Might make more fans willing to invest.
