Excellent player who, with no offence meant to either club, should be playing at a higher level that Ayr or Brechin. *

What's Andy Murdoch like? Apparently we are in pole position to sign him after he turned down an offer from Brechin City

Very surprised if he signs for Ayr and didn't have better offers. As others have said, he could play in the Premiership and should've been able to pick up another Championship side no bother.

The decision by McKinnon to release him was disappointing and despite us signing some decent players to replace him with experience, I still think we should've held on to him. Been told by someone close to Andy that he was very surprised and gutted to have been released. Hope he still goes on to have a great career as the potential is there.

He really couldn't play regularly in the Premiership tbh.

He could easily fit in somewhere like Livi or Hamilton. If Ricki Lamie can make the Premiership (and good luck to the big man) so can Andy Murdoch.

Tackles well, good short passer, runs all day/ high energy levels, good shot from distance, didn't give the ball away much, would have been more happy if we'd kept him, should do well,.

He scored an absolute screamer against the skunks last season.
