Hopefully you do. He's no good to us anymore and is too talented to be kicking his heels without a club. United would be a very good fit for a player like McGinn, certainly better than Dundee.

Plus if we could have Blair Spittal on loan for a season as a makeweight, that would be pretty good as well.

doubt it, Spittal has been starting mostly at end of the season

Good win against Oldham, pleased to see McLear score. I think he could be a big player for us next season, he was a bit lightweight last year but he showed some flashes of skill. If he's bulked up over the summer I think he could be our next first 11 regular from the youth system.

4 of the trialists getting the boot. Murray seems to be very thorough, good to see.

The finnish lad, Kuqi and the guy Anderson Pinto are two who have gone anyway.

That leaves, Reilly, Barron (if he's still on trial?), Howieson and Conlon, the boy from Notts Forest, McAneff and Rooney as the remaining trialists.

Oh and we have striker up from Swindon we're having a look at now.

This is from Saints supporters FB page:

Overall, St Mirren played some decent football against a strong Oldham side. Anderson Pinto and Albert Kuqi were hooked at half time, Kuqi looked very slow at times similar to Callum Ball whereas Anderson was a hard worker, never pulled out of a challenge and gave his all. Shaun Rooney, Luke Conlon, Aaron McEneff all played well but after chatting with Spalding, It seems Howieson is the only one who may earn a deal.

Suprised if this is the case as a few folk mentioned on B&W army that a couple of players certainly looked the part. Rooney in particular.
