The league season started on 29th August 2015, and tomorrow sees six of the teams in the league only reaching the halfway point in their fixtures on 12th March 2016, six and a half months later.

We now have the second half of the season to fit into just over two and a half months for the end of May or early June.

There must be a better format than this, surely ?

season needs to start 1st sat in July , and play midweek games they could be the league cup games and Saturday for league games only , gives all players a chance of game time as squads are usually full at that early point

Very valuable 3 points for us today at Maybole. Very heavy and uneven park. We looked to be in cruise control at 2-0 but a couple of poor errors by the gk and Lyndsay alowed Maybole to come back even from nowhere with 2 pens.Cumnock then scored a controversial late penalty when the Maybole players seemed to stop in the build up thinking the ball had went out of play. Paul burns scoring on the rebound from the pen. The team are battling hard and look very fit and organised. Big game next week at Clydebank. Glad to leave Maybole with 3 points as lots of teams will drop points there i believe.

Was a pretty even game, grear strike from Clydebank's striker in the first half but we had a few chances as well. Second half was scrappy but ref got card happy at one point. Not one bad tackle the whole game. We had a couple of chances to equalise but missed out. Clydebank are a good team but if you can nullify both wingers (right hand side is very quick) their pretty ordinary though well organised as Budgie always has his teams.

You's seem to get a lot of red cards? What was today's game like?

a few mostly for players dissent which there is no defence for but when one of your players says f**k off to the ref one week and gets a red and you quite clearly hear other players saying the same to a different ref and no action, where's the consistency, ref was terrible today, great strike for Clydebank goal tho, played better teams this season including yourselves

at end of day why say f**k off to any ref as you know you`ll never win in the long run

A big result for Glencairn today, and thoroughly deserved. Hopefully that'll give us some momentum on the back of the two draws before it.

The league table is interesting now, and it shows how much draws can hurt you. We've only actually lost five matches, and five of the six teams immediately above us have lost 6 or 7 games, all the way up to Greenock in 5th place who are only 5 points ahead of us in 11th place. It's as tight as ever, and there is no such thing as "mid table obscurity" in this league, you're either pushing for promotion or fighting relegation, and sometimes you're doing both at the same time !

The top four appear to be the promotion candidates, although only time will tell how their Scottish Junior Cup run will affect Kilwinning's promotion hopes.

As far as we're concerned, today was good for us but it was just one win. We need a few more of them, although we're now only one point behind Yoker and three points behind Shotts with a game in hand and a better goal difference, and still to play them as well. There's a long way to go, but it's looking a bit better for us as it stands tonight.

Need to take those blue tinted specs off bud - both sendings off were fully justified and indeed there could have been more - and I include our own captain Phil Barclay in that who was lucky not to walk as well. Your belief that Bankies got everything today is totally delusional - the treatment handed out to our winger Mark Burbidge could have resulted in at least one and possibly two penalties - he was too honest for his own good and attempted to stay on his feet when he could easily have gone to ground. Thought Kilsyth played some good football for the first 20 mins or so and after that we got on top but couldn't get that all important second and struggled to hold out in the last 20 but rolled up the sleeves and got the job done.

Not our greatest performance but at the business end of the season 3 pts is what counts and we got them. Injuries are starting to build up for Bankies just now and we need to get patched up and ready for next weeks massive game v Cumnock.
