city_gord
He was a winger on Thursday. Got some good balls into the box and scored a peach. I thought he was the best of the trialists against Spartans and could be a useful wee player.
'Steve
Trialist who scored the 4th goal looked like David Weatherston. If we can keep him fit he'll be a good signing but he has struggled with injury the past year or so I believe.
'Steve
5-3 win against Formartine United this evening. Wasn't looking too rosy midway through the second half having gone 3-1 down thanks to some calamitous defending, but we turned on the style in the last 20 minutes or so to record a decent win. Dene Shields was excellent and will be a key man this season by the looks of it. Scored one, set up two. Thomson looked very good also, scoring twice. Defensively we look suspect but stupid errors led to two of the goals. Anyone know where our skipper is?! Tiger hasn't played a minute of pre-season yet. Is he on a month long honeymoon? Also - pitch is looking great.

Can't remember what number he was but he came on in the second half and was at right back. Has played a part in all of our friendlies so far. Thought he has looked a good option in that position, worth signing up with Euan and David and we are nearly there for a squad.

'Steve
I'm feeling a lot better about the season ahead after today's game. Of course it's just a pre-season friendly but we looked organised, energetic and dangerous going forward against a very strong Dundee side. Still require 3 or 4 signings though. theoriginalhedge
Better performance all round today . As Steve said everyone looked a lot more organised and a lot fitter than the full timers. Unusual for a Hartley team to look as if they couldn't give a shit.
Cold Feet
Yep, agree with everything. a solid enough performance with us playing a very high line - pros and cons to this. Would have Tiffoney, Smith and Weatherston. Hartley seemed to spend most of the match sitting down pulling his hair out. Was this a strong Dundee team?
