It's indicative of how poor the squad is that he's played so much football this season. I would agree with this 100 per cent. Scott McLaughlin has been absolutely okay so far this season but he was brought into the team primarily for his coaching, maybe filling in the starting XI when required. When Colin McMenamin and Stuart Balmer were putting this team together they had a 4-4-2 formation in mind but such is the lack of quality in the middle of the park, we've had to play a 3-5-2 to compensate for it; with only David Marsh and Andy Munro in central defence, McLaughlin's had to fill in as the third centre-back every week. According to a short statement on the website, he asked to leave because of travelling commitments.
