Stenhousemuir FC - The Warriors - The 2023/24 Thread

Very happy to see Colin given the job. Spoke to Kieran Gibbons on Saturday and he was saying that the players wanted Colin in charge.

In terms of other candidates, spoke with a member of the board and he said that there wasn't any candidates that stood out.

How was Andy Dallas for you guys last season? I'm down watching Rangers Reserves at the moment, and he looks absolutely great. Scored twice and set up one with a really cute dummy. Full of aggression and strength as well.

I quite liked him during his time at the Warriors. He scored two goals on his debut against Edinburgh City and really looked the part but he struggled the next week against Sean Dillon and Montrose. A mixed bag, I suppose, but I think the experience served him well. I think we were looking at taking him back for this season but it fell through.

Based on how he looked today I think a longer loan spell is the next step. He got a hat-trick in the end, and put in a really strong all-round performance. Obviously there's a big jump from bullying and tormenting youth team defenders to doing it to experienced pros, but he looked up to it. His work-rate was great, he was powerful and held the ball up well and his third goal was a really classy finish.

Be interesting to see where he goes next.

Can anyone please tell me who the Stenny player was that broke his nose but played on in the game against Aberdeen season 94/95?

He played out the game with a huge "X" shaped sticking plaster over his nose.

Definitely Jimmy Fisher. I know those strong legs anywhere.

Surely Tiwi would be worthy of a place on the bench just now?  Kevin O'Hara needs sent back to Falkirk yesterday.

I'm assuming he is away on loan to get experience, but would rather have him than Kevin on the bench, especially after his antics at the Falkirk game.
