I'm assuming he's a Unionist who is upset with the election result (as he has every right to be - it was a disaster for Scottish Unionists). What he hopes to achieve with a self-loathing article is anyone's guess. Not the sort of thing that is welcome, and it would be interesting to see if it made it into the Scottish MoS as well.
