From the outside looking in, my prediction is that Montrose will get back a bit of form once their injuries clear up.Also shouldn't underestimate the importance of Shepherds goals to ES (5 this season)and he leaves after his last game this weekend.

Shepherd leaving is

Defo a blow, but Mckenna has refound his form. His two goals yesterday took him up to 7, and Orr scored on his debut. I'd be surprised if he didn't bang in a right few more. I'm no longer worried about goals - only the jekyll and hide nature of the squad... The team with the superb attitude against Albion yesterday, or the team who were devoid of everything against Berwick. It's not other teams we need to worry about... It's ourselves..

Has scott buist signed for the mo? Decent calibre of player but did get told he would never play again,is it a gamble...time will tell.scotty johnstone away now aswell very good signing he has been over the years always gave 100% although I would say this season he has never realy got started in my eyes.Surely hegarty must be looking for another striker gary fraser up top himself is no use.Any word on Paul watson????

Seen a couple of Montrose games this season and it is quite clear that Hegarty is clueless as he was at Forfar. Not sure how Ross Campbell is getting on the pitch ahead of Malin and Ferguson to name but two. Remember Dale Reid coming through as a youngster as well. Surely he has to be worth giving a start as I seem to remember he scored a lot of goals for Roselea. .

I believe Scott Buist was the trialist that started the game, anyone know who the one on the bench was?!?

Says in the courier the trialist was ally smith been playing in Portugal recently, not a clue who he is to be fair.

Oh dear, rabbit out of a hat comes to mind. Been there, done it and already got too many T shirts. Still think we'll get out of it but the weeks are rolling by. I think the Smokies will be OK now and I think most of their fans deep down hope we will be as well. The derby games are very much needed and for all the bleetings of other fans which other two teams are gonna pull in a near 1500 crowd in L2 this regular season?

To be fair Mo fans show up at Links Park but don't bother travelling to Gayfield... Arbroath FC will be ok this season but I fear for Montrose FC if they do end up in the Highland League...

Better turnout of them the last home game in fairness. I don't think Montrose will go down but they'll need to start improving, Shire have just made a couple of good loan signings have they not? Time to get the finger out.

You have to remember aswell that arbroath is a good bit bigger in montrose but your right montrose fans don't travel that well,I think if we had something to shout about it could be different but we have not had that for years.A defeat on saturday and the board have a realy tough decision on their hands do they let hegarty try and turn it around, which he probably deserves to be fair.Or do they look at another sos from someone outwith.Dick campbell does spring to mine I'd love him at links park he seems to have the contacts over the years to bring in good players to clubs he has managed on loan and permanent signings.Hegarty in my opinion knows the game inside out but lacks in the lower leagues he seems to be quite good chums with jim mcnally who told him about scott buist for example. Also very surprised we have had no one from Dundee utd on loan yet, thought heggy would have been right in their and trying to get the best young talent they have.
