Congratulations Clyde - SPFL League Two Champions 2015/16

Recommended Posts

In light of Barry Ferguson's recent signings, I think it's not too forward to congratulate Clyde on winning the title 9 months early. With rumoured additions on top of the already-signed superstars believed to include Steven Thompson, Sean Higgins and 18-goal midfielder Alan Trouten, will Clyde go through the card next season? Assuming the division's assorted hammerthrowers fail to get close to our Galacticos - as many are undoubtedly expecting - it really could be a 36-win whitewash.

I've got us down as having sealed the title on February the 27th - that's if we fail to make massive strides in cup competitions, which also looks like a stick-on.

Clyde could get the Barcelona first team on loan, but Barry Ferguson will still be the manager, so you're kinda screwed.

To be fair to Ferguson, he's come on a bundle over the second half of the season. He made a load of mistakes over the first part of the year but he's learned from them and once he was able to bring his own players in, Clyde were certainly a solid (if a little dull) side from January onwards. They were the third-best team in terms of form and only lost 18 goals (one a game), the best in the league.

He might not be to everyone's tastes - that's probably to do with his connections to Rangers more than anything else - but I reckon he's got a decent career ahead of him.

Clyde having to retract premature prediction of winning Div 2 in 2015/16 as they had forgotten to add in the Mighty Brora Rangers factor. They may be only a pub team at the arse end of nowhere but Clyde won't beat them and there goes the short lived but amusing Clyde dream.

Wind yer neck in, at least until you scrape past the worst montrose team ever, before giving it the billy big baws chat.

This season will be hilariously easy. Kind of like when you cheat on football manager and put all the best players in the world into your Worcester City team and waltz the league; being able to count the goals you concede on one hand.

Relatively speaking, this is the calibre of signings we've brought in.
