OK there was a bit of hyperbole there but it wasn't meant to be that funny.

Until the new labour leader emerges they're directionless, divided and not in a good state to carry out the role of her majesty's opposition. The SNP are on a roll and they're partially filling that gap at the moment.

Note this post shouldn't be taken as a prediction, endorsement or condemnation concerning the next direction Labour heads in whatever that is or the next leader whoever they are.

She now has the sobriquet ‘Square sausage’ after being sandwiched in the middle of the trained seals during her maiden speech. I wonder how much help she received with that.

And she has accepted money from ‘Iron Jock’, Carstairs who was described as a ‘slave driver’ on national TV.

The square sausage jibe is manoeuvre coined by the SNP party chiefs ' to lend overwhelming support'.

And 'slave driver' comes from a denunciation on the ITV show Britain's Most Unbearable Bosses about Derek Carstairs, a true Scottish boss if ever there was one.

Lots of people watching x factor. Hardly makes it good.

True. But the fact that her speech has been almost universally praised probably means we can file it in the 'good' category.

Keep scrambling away though. It's always amusing.
