Sweaty Morph
I had to light the fire last night. I have my heating on as we speak. I'm also at that age where I discuss weather and comment if it's a "good drying day"...
BFTD
Couple of years ago, I used to roll my eyes whenever my father would start yakking about the weather. This summer, we've had lengthy conversations on the topic, occasionally started by me.
P45
Sainsbury's didn't have any of the wee packets of apple slices left. I'm going to cranky this afternoon. Someone has to pay.
mattydfc
I've been waiting in a+e for almost 2 hours. Those hungry African children don't know how easy they have it.

I was at Forth Valley last week and the waiting time (according to the TV screen on the wall) was 4 hours. Hope your hand is ok and you aren't in too much pain

Hope your hand is ok and you aren't in too much pain I get the impression that the waiting times are more to do with managing expectation rather than being an accurate estimate. I've certainly never waited anything like that long. I've been in before when the waiting time was four hours, and it was just us and a couple of other buddies, who were all seen within half an hour. I suppose you're less liable to have some drunk nutcase fly off the handle if he kens he's in for a long wait when he arrives in. Incidentally, I don't think I've ever been to A&E before without there being somebody under police escort (no, not me, cheeky bassa); there was even a lad came in handcuffed to a gurney once with polis everywhere. What a job, honestly

What a job, honestly When we were there last week there was a guy sitting across from us handcuffed to a G4S guard. All going well until my wee 5 year old niece enquired (loudly) as to why that man was wearing bracelets...

Dazzle
Every time I close my internet browser on my phone I get signed out of P&B. Meaning every time I go on the forum I need to sign in with my details (taking atleast 30 seconds) or else I can never see what I've already read. Nightmare.

Bert Raccoon
I had to light the fire last night. Sounds like a confession of a serial arsonist. Grimbo, we my have found the culprit.
welshbairn
Just ordered the 2 for 1 deal from Domino's and asked for a bottle of 2003 Pio Cesare Barbaresco to wash it down. What kind of Italian restaurant doesn't have a half decent wine cellar? Still shaking in fury.
Savage Henry
It's a bit rainy, so I might have to put on a raincoat and take it off when it brightens up. Furious. #PrayForScotland

WeAreElgin
I'm coming into the office for 9 tomorrow, meaning I'll get one of the car park spaces furthest from the door. I'm going to have to go to the trouble of taking a jacket with me in case it rains as I fear getting my hair too wet.
welshbairn
Did you have to settle for the 2004? Barbarians. No, thank God. Actually they surprised me with a delightful tipple from their cellars that frankly tasted almost identical for a fraction of the cost. Ribinia I think they call it, must be from the New World wineries, never heard of it.
Grim O'Grady
Yes I've heard of that one. I think it's from the same stable as the South African Umbongo. Was it post apartheid, my friend says the Umbongo blanc is to die for? Grimbo
