QueensPark vs Clyde

Recommended Posts

Good to see that Gus has risen above the temptation to put these itinerants in heir place, and will indeed be making wholesale changes to the squad - sensible decision not to get caught up in the atmosphere generated by Clyde fans for whom this is always their big game

Looks like The Strollers out there today. Good call Guus.

all hail to the mighty Bully Wee for a dazzling performance which swept our youngsters asunder, and must have put fear into all of next season's Div 2 title contenders - wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that Bazza will be handed a contract extension on the basis of what we saw today, which by all accounts was Clyde's best performance of the season........it was truly humbling to be in the presence of such greatness, and all QP fans can only pray that we go up via the play-offs so that we don't have to be smitten by their might again next season

Take the result as it was queens punters end of season run out with more important games ahead all we need now is a centre half to play up top with chucky and perhaps if am not being ambitious here a goalkeeper to play at centre half and a striker who can play left back leave it tae baz he conjour up something

Really?

yes, Burns & McIlroy having a wee verbal spat before shaking hands and getting on with it, while Gus got a little talking to from the referee for checking with him whether 24 fouls was sufficient to merit a "persistent" description - the ref thought otherwise and we all moved on - truly headline stuff, and certainly not any attempt by CK or Larry to divert any attention from their view of their own team's performance which we have yet to hear.

the only concern for QP fans was the slight injury that Muir picked up with five minutes to go, but he looked ok at the end and should be fit for Wednesday when Mitchell, Quinn, Wharton, Rooney, Berry, Woods and Carter or McPherson will all return to the starting line-up.

he was a little bit tentative and always took the easy option with his passes, which is of course perfectly understandable in the circumstances, but the point is that he didn't show us enough to judge him - assuming that Gus keeps him for next season, ask again after he's got a couple of full games under his belt

I guess that's perfectly understandable, it's a massive step up from youth team to first team. I hope he makes it, never been arrogant or stuck up like a lot of boys seem to get when they play pro-youth.

All the best for the playoffs :)

Hilarious deflection from the Queenies here. Deep down they'll be shitting themselves for the play-offs on the back of that performance. They stunk the place out.

Fair comment if we have that type of performance but I'm confident the nine regular starters sitting with us in the stand will make a difference. Nice to see the boys mingling with the fans at half-time too.

Good work by the youngstars. Sure it'll add to the pot for next season.

Hopefully the mid-summer departure of Ferguson to be replaced by Gardner Spiers will help Clyde recover their rightful mid-table position for next season. All the best lads. Enjoy your week in Saltcoats.
