glensmad
Nice neutral venue. Auchinleck to Kilmarnock - 13.9 miles, 27 minutes. Musselburgh to Kilmarnock - 75.5 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes.

bawrash
Why? I'm sure if u ask most players they would prefer to play on a grass pitch
HibeeJibee
Why would "asking most players" decide? Somewhere like RP, Almondvale, Broadwood or Falkirk looked sensible. All bar Almondvale (which maybe going 3G IIRC?) are plastic.
southerner
Was waiting on the not so neutral venue nonsense. We have done our share of finals at Livingston. I will be down to costs

Talbots last two finals have been at Livingston, we had to drive past Shotts to get to the final with them, and Lithgae were 10 mins away ? bawrash
It's not up to the players to decide but how often do u hear cup finals being played on 4g?
peasy23
Won't be many senior grounds with grass parks that will still be open by that date.
Shannon
It's not up to the players to decide but how often do u hear cup finals being played on 4g? Champions League final was played on 4G a few season ago in Russia so if good enough for that then good enough for Junior Cup Final.
fan of the juniors
Should be at Hampden pure & simple. 4g or 3G is good for gettin games in in the winter & training but to hold the showpiece of our season on it is beyond me LADESIDE
glensmad
Why is it not played at Hampden ? I've never understood that.
A.M
last time it was held at Hampden was 1986, think its the costs involved ?

Im sure they laid a grass park for that champions league final because of the importance of the game. Did John Terry not slip and take a divot of grass as he was missing his penalty ? Did John Terry not slip and take a divot of grass as he was missing his penalty ? They did, bizarrely it was good enough for group games the same season but was replaced for the final. The fact it was newly laid was probably a factor in Terry slipping. Which was nice.
Sergeant Wilson
Nothing to do with astro, just not a great choice. Far too big and poor choice of venue. Might not bother going.
BC63
3g, 4g, plastic or grass who cares. Talbot are back in a final. That's good enough for me.
