kramer
Lowest ranked team in the round. Doubt it will be easy but surely a decent chance to progress
La_Leyenda
A trip to Kazakhstan three days before we're at Tannadice. Ace.
HibeeJibee
Lowest ranked team in the round. Doubt it will be easy but surely a decent chance to progress They thumped Red Star Begrade 4-1 in QR1 and have signed a few handy-looking players, most notably Anatoliy Tymoschuk (albeit he's 36). I think the Istanbul team were probably the hardest draw but this was the other to be avoided if possible, IMO. Away leg first?
Guest
Are we definitely away first? Could do with being at home with Tannadice in mind.
AberdeenBud
Barring any disasters next week, that's a tough but still winnable draw.
kramer
True, none of the teams looked easy though. Cypriot team might have been the most desirable but they are full of Spaniards. Think it's best being away first as at least we don't have to squeeze a trip to kazakhstan in between 2 league fixtures
HibeeJibee
Of course this lot are currently facing St Johnstone's 'conquerers', leading 3-0 after 1st leg.
La_Leyenda
Fun fact. The manager of Kairat is Vladimir Weiss. His son has the same name, and was of course the wee scroat that played for Rangers.
HibeeJibee
Interestingly, except for West Ham and Red Star (who Kairat eliminated), these 2 - Aberdeen & Kairat - have the highest crowds in this season's competition thusfar.
Clyde01
If st Johnstone had beaten alashkert they would have been playing kairat in this round, making it impossible for Aberdeen to draw that pairing. So if Aberdeen lose to kairat it is all saints fault for being pish.
Ross.
C*nt of a journey and a tricky tie. They beat Red Star Belgrade in both legs in the last round.
kramer
They are also in the middle of a season which probably won't help us. Rijeka looked like they weren't up to speed, like we weren't in the 1st round
AberdeenBud
Tymoshchuk is a great player. Presuming age hasn't dimmed him too much, which it probably hasn't given his position and style. £10million pound player at one point.

Fun fact 2. He was the manager of Artmedia when they humbled Celtic a decade ago.
