Don't think Shelly has any interest in being a No2, doing a fine job where she is.......

To be fair to Threave haven't they been focusing on ground improvements over the past 5 seasons, they now have a cracking set up (always was by the way) which other south clubs should be aspiring to ?

Fair comment although the present manager has had a good budget for players he just seemed unable to attract them for one reason or another

There are just not enough quality players to go around I am afraid.

D&G may be much more preferable to live in rather than Glasgow or Edinburgh, but it is sparsely populated.

Most Lowland League clubs are within travelling distance of the two big cities but Dalbeattie, Gretna and Threave are competing with each other in assembling squads from a limited number of players good enough for the league (although Gretna have Carlisle on their doorstep to supplement their squad).

It doesn't matter how much money is available if the players are not there.

  • 3 weeks later...

According to some local papers - bottom would get relegated if either of the EOS and SOS league champions were licensed.

If both were licensed, they'd playoff, with the winner going up.

But - there are still vacancies to fill; and City could get promoted; and some clubs are still trying to get licensed. Maybe those could provide 'get-outs'.

However... none of the EOS title contenders are about to get licensed, and seemingly Wigtown aren't either. So logically, it's academic anyway.
