Explain Mr Fixtures Man

Fixtures involving clubs more than 15 miles apart, must be played on a Saturday or Sunday. Including Divisional Cup later rounds.

Scottish Cup ties have to be played within 3 weekends, of the scheduled date,or the home team exits the competition.

January & February, & March, clubs should be allocated the same amount of home fixtures, where possible.

More Sunday fixtures, Friday night games in the summer months.

Oh & has anyone mentioned about playing all fixtures in the summer.

Maybe if the fixtures man just used a bit of common sense to try to even out home and away fixtures and maximise the number of fixtures. Isn't that difficult- he has access to the same results matrix or should have one in a spreadsheet to make it even easier! No excuse for incompetence.

Fair enough RobRoyGuy. Trying to sort fixtures on the hoof after loads of postponements is a nightmare.

The real issue isn't Fixtures Man but that too many fixtures are scheduled for leagues that are plagued by call-offs. Better facilities, better weather, or fewer fixtures would probably solve it.

P.S. - Don't see why West can't keep their Sectional Cups but punt all friendlies instead. Make us of the third-weekend-in-July rule to get started early, and schedule in a few blanks for late March/early April to get the leagues sorted before the season's finale...

Em Largs have an all weather park and have had 2 home games through the bad weather so how is it not the fixture mans fault eh aye it is

Now that the Scottish Cup is down to the last 4, there is no reason at all why we can't have a full fixture list available NOW for Sat 4 and Sat 11 April at the very least. Over to you Mr Robertson.... but I won't be holding my breath.

So it's Monday night we go craigmark on Saturday match played to a finish, other teams playing cup ties most played to a finish,

So why no fixture for next week ?????

Talbot h/a

Clydebank h/a

Surely we could play one of them .......

Heard a rumour last week that after the Cumnock game, Beith's next league game is Kilbirnie. Don't know if that's Easter Saturday or the following week tho!

You could be right on that ! We were also allowed to move our 'home ' fixture earlier in the season to Largs even though we had already played there this season in an away game.

Two favours he has done for us this season , some guy.

You could say that ha

No doubt about it he is helping us out instead of fucking us over which is good.

It should actually help the fixtures man that the Roy are willing to play at different grounds to get matches played while they wait for their new ground. Clubs sharing grounds can be a problem. So a reckon he will be more than willing to help the Roy in the future.
