Hillary choking on her own bullshit again. There's something going on with her health – believe me!

Actually would like to see Trump win, Hillary is just another one of a long line of actors picked by her party to talk shite, just like that fukwit Obama , who incidentally just got told to get the f**k by the President of the Philippines:lol:

And not to mention, was made to look like a fukin dud by the Chinese.

This is comforting from someone wanting to be the leader of the free world...

The email scandal that has dogged Hillary Clinton erupted again as it was revealed she blamed concussion for failing to remember briefings on how to preserve classified government records.

Mrs Clinton  also faced ridicule from Republicans after telling the FBI she did not realise the letter "c" on documents meant "Confidential," instead thinking it had something to with the alphabetical order of paragraphs.

The front-runner in the US presidential election also admitted brazenly discussing future drone strikes against terrorists on her unsecure email account, and narrowly avoided opening a link to a pornographic website which could have seen her fall victim to Russian hackers.

This faux outrage over this email stuff is laughable.  If that's the best the GOP have to attack her with then they are screwed.

I've not spent much time looking into this but I've noticed Trump is apparently ahead in the latest poll. Does he actually stand a chance here?

I know you're a bit slow on certain issues, but where the f**k have you been?

I think your question is answered by the post.  He's behind by 10+ points right across the board in quality polling.  The Brexit vote could have been the impetus for his campaign, but he's running such an incompetent campaign that he's actually gone backwards.  Some might say intentionally so.

Precisely.  The email thing is a non-story.  Her health clearly isn't an issue. But this is the best Trump can come up with, given that he doesn't actually have any coherent policy to present or the intellectual capacity to critique Clinton (or Obama).

Except that it is a issue, if she is medically unfit to be president then that is something American voters should know before they cast their vote. Shes not the first person to run for President thats had concerns and criticism over her health, she certainly wont be the last. I agree that on the big list of problems with her being the next President its not the biggest problem, but its a entirely legitimate problem.

It would be if the claims coming from the Trump campaign were anything approaching credible.  They aren't.  The videos posted earlier in this thread are nothing but scaremongering.  Clinton is not popular, but absent any intellectual or political grounds on which Trump can appear popular, they just plant insane conspiracy stories.

There is a story - apocryphal but apt - of LBJ during one of his senate campaigns.  He was facing an opponent who made his money in the meat trade.  LBJ told his campaign manager to spread the rumour that his opponent had carnal knowledge of his pigs.  The campaign guy was shocked, and told LBJ that he couldn't say such a thing, because it wasn't true.  "Of course not," said LBJ, "But let's make the b*****d deny it."

What's happening here is the Trump campaign is circulating all this nonsense about coughing fits and seizures on planes and whatnot and planting the concept that Hillary (Illary - geddit???!!!111) isn't well.  She's not even commenting on it.  Trump's tactic (or more specifically, the GOP's selection) is going to look very, very shortsighted in the end.  These kind of dirty tricks are not easily forgotten.

And here's the thing.  You are absolutely right, there are any number of legitimate concerns about Clinton's political ambitions.  Trump hasn't challenged her on any of them.  Not one.  It's the worst run campaign in living memory.

Interesting but hilarious strand to this election is the desperate attribution of anything conservative to Putin. People seriously suggesting that Putin is funding the alt-right because of course Putin's expansionism in Eastern Europe is dependent on Twitter users with anime avatars sending death threats to outspoken women.

Yes, and he always did. Hillary Clinton is a terrible candidate for the Democrats to have chosen when large portions of the US electorate are looking for a radical change, because she epitomizes a lot of the cronyism and corrupt practices that voters there have come to despise. She got a post-convention bump that has now faded away and the campaign normally only really starts in earnest around the point, so it's all to play for. The key for Trump is to dial it back a bit on the crazier rhetoric about immigration given he already has the crazies firmly on board and start appealing to minorities, so that moderate Republicans that were drifting off to Gary Johnson the third part candidate will ultimately hold their nose and vote for him.

I can't believe so many folks are still talking seriously about Trump not wanting to win. Absolute nonsense

Every poll I've seen had him quite a bit behind, was quite surprised to see him actually ahead.

That poll had him very narrowly ahead with ~10% going third party. If I was backing Trump I'd want to see him a bit further ahead to be remotely confident, given that 10%. He seems like just about the most Marmite political candidate of all time, you'd have to fancy Hillary to win the meh vote. It really goes without saying that Trump is very much in this though.

Am I right in thinking third parties have to poll at 15% to get on the TV debates? If I was American and someone contacted me from a polling company, I'd be pledging my vote to Johnson. Wouldn't actually vote for him though.

You make a fair point regarding trumps poor campaign and how he has approached her health claims. But i still think there is enough there to be suspicious of it. }

Agree completely with trumps campaign, he has spend his entire campaign going on about how Hillary isnt suitable for the job and far too little time on why he is suitable. Overall tho i see this going down as the worse presidential campaign in a very long time and will be hard pressed to top it.

You honestly think he's so stupid that he'd talk about Obama being the leader of ISIS if he was serious about it?

Either 1) He really IS that stupid or 2) the voters are stupid. Either way, it's not good. This guy might actually be president of the USA and might actually have to back up all of the incredible things he's said. Anyone who votes for this racist, sexist piece of shit needs looked at.

They're both 70 years old. While pig fucking would indeed be surprising, it's not surprising that either of them have ongoing health problems, wouldn't you think? In such circumstances and so close to the election, it's not exactly surprising that the candidate's campaign would try to cover it up.

A little bit of 1) and a lot of 2).

I don't think Trump is as stupid as his voters. As ill-informed perhaps but probably not as much of a knuckledragger. He's done a good job of playing to his audience though and whether it's his Obama/Kenyan stuff which established him as a Republican figure, or all the insane shit he said in the GOP race; he's only got stronger as his statements have gotten more ridiculous.

You would think that the obvious thing to do now would be to reign that stuff in a bit but he still has to stand up in front of thousands of thicko bumkins and tell them what they want to hear. I find it more likely that he's a not particularly bright ego maniac who can't help himself when it comes to playing for a cheer; than the idea that this is all some elaborate conspiracy.

You can see the cogs turning in his brain when he makes that ISIS statement. He's clearly thought of it on the spot. "Should I say it, should I say it, should I say it...OBAMA FOUNDED ISIS!"
