The amount of rubbishing of the Lowland League that goes on in the junior forum and you have never once accused them of tribalism or sectarianism. It seems to work only one way as far as your concerned.

This. He's got a collosal gall to come onto this section and give lectures on LL vs Juniors "tribalism" considering he's the biggest shit-stirrer about it on P&B - however, goes with the company he keeps. The trouble with some people in this world is they've always got to be part of something which has to have an "enemy" they're up against largely in their own minds - and cause unnecessary aggro in the process.

Irvne Meadows crowds have always been rubbish!

Come along to our home game on Saturday and tell me if any LL club gets anywhere near the crowd that`ll be at it?

Is this at long last an admission that the "huge travelling Bankies support" has been nothing but a myth, ergo making them the square root of zero insofar as this discussion is concerned? Clubs are only interested in other clubs if they can only bring punters through their doors too.

Or - as I predicted a year ago - is it now devil takes the hindmost amongst Clydebank supporters now they are struggling? Plus ça change...

And finally, anyone coming out with a fatuous statement like "Irvine Meadow's crowds have always been rubbish!" when they've got one of the best set ups in the Juniors precisely to accomodate the crowds they've been getting though much of their history seriously needs to think first before putting fingers to keyboard.

I note that Spartans, Selkirk, Benburb, Port Glasgow, Glencairn have all managed to get new grounds built in the last decade or so despite having lesser crowds that the mighty Bankies.....

And done in far swifter time. You can also add Renfrew to the above list, they and Benburb currently racing to be the first to play on their new grounds before the season ends. Benburb in particular appear to have spent their £9.3 million windfall very wisely.

Most had grounds to sell others have had more benevolent councils.

Its such a shame that your last remaining put down is about to be made redundant!

Excuses, excuses. Clydebank had a ground, and the fans stood by like puddings as the board flogged it and trousered the money, whoops sorry "set up soccer camps in America".

Even Royal Albert - the epitome of a no fans & no money club - managed to get a ground of their own faster than it's taken the Bankies over a mere two decades.

Whatever hand the Juniors think they hold, they are playing it spectacularly badly. The average crowd at junior football is woeful in the modern era and there are only a few exceptions to that. Everything in junior football moves at the pace of a snail (at best) and the attempt to create a joint east/west league is a good demonstration of that.

I don't see how anyone can criticise the lowland league for considering applications from interested parties in the absence of any from disinterested parties.

Junior football is digging it's own hole and until our unless someone gets a grip of non league football in this country as a whole that is how it will continue. It's absolutely ludicrous that we are even able to have accusations of junior v senior tribalism and that in itself encapsulates everything that is wrong.

Self interest continues to thrive at the expense of the game itself and those who try to support it.

Very well said.

Royal Albert play at Stonehouse Violets old ground you nugget.

They were watched by nobody in Larkhall and I suspect that wont have changed in Stonehouse.

Stood by like puddings? People were arrested for stopping matches!!

You clearly know nothing about what went on.

You are an authority in talking pish Waffle.

Will it matter a tuppenny damn if the "school teams" provide more supporters? Especially as it's looking more & more less of an onerous task to do as well or better the "big juniors" for those bread and butter league fixtures.

As pointed out earlier, there was a crucial match last Saturday between Irvine Meadow and Clydebank. To both sides it was a make or break match - Medda had to win for their title challenge to have a realistic hope of not being overtaken by Talbot who have five games in hand & are only eight points behind. Clydebank had to win to keep Shotts Bon Accord, Kilbirnie Ladeside & Cumnock close enough for any realistic hope of avoiding automatic relegation. Both boast - especially Clydebank to the point of tedium - about their huge support. The game was at an excellent ground.

In short, everything factor was in place that should have attracted a healthy crowd. Yet between them they could only muster a @150 attendance. If this is the best the "big Juniors" can do for a "crucial" match, are they really worth the wooing at the expense of other avenues of encouraging new blood?

Like I've said before, the LL needs to forget trying to bring any of the Juniors in & indulging their "special little snowflakes" pretentions. They'll come in soon enough one by one as they realise it's going to be that or die a slow death at the hands of their collective incompetence, & those who won't will be no great loss.

Why not put teams from the east or south in and put the school team in the lower division?

Still doesn't get it.

Royal Albert have a ground of their own - which it took them eight years to get. You don't after a mere nineteen years - and by your own admission despite having lots more fans and plenty of money to spend on players. Not very edifying, is it?

And you guys are presuming to wag the finger about what constitutes a "proper club" when you've proven over the last two decades incapable of being able to walk and chew gum at the same time?

Can't make it this week. What are your fixtures for March ?

 Good one!

If EoS or SoS teams apply, and able to meet/show they will meet licensing then they should be accepted ahead of AM soccer, if they can't and AM can then AM rightly get one of the spots

Royal Albert are renting a council facility in Stonehouse (which would be utterly useless for a club like ours as it has no spectating facilities whatsoever) and its not theirs!

You know nothing about our club but just keep making rubbish up,thats what you normally do.

It's still their ground which they have exclusive access to. Your shower of sawdust caesars couldn't even manage that in all this time, sleeping on the sofa of one club after another for two decades & having the cheek to tell everyone else how the game should be run when you can't even get your own house in order.

Its not their ground though you thicko, what part of renting a council owned ground in another town do you not understand?

Christ you nearly had an orgasm on here last week when it was announced we`d be getting a new ground and planned to return to the SPFL one day.Now because it doesn't suit your argument you`re slagging us off again?

Make your mind up you total and utter nutjob.

Ignoring some of the bizarre outbursts above.

They should join the structure at its lowest point, licensed or not.

They already accepted Broomhill Sports Club last year in preference to several EoS clubs, so it looks like widening the geographical spread of the LL takes priority. I suspect Stewart Regan and co may even be encouraging these kinds of applications.

You still don't have a ground you have first shout on. They do. End of story.

Two decades on & you still don't have one, yet seem to think you've the right to lecture others as to what constitutes a "proper" club when you haven't even the basics in place. That those fans you seem to think Clydebank's credibility rests on cannot even turn out for the important matches such as last week makes your snide remarks about AM Soccer even more feeble.

Indeed, maybe their fanbase will be better for football as a whole as they will prove more loyal in the bad times as well as the good - having more motivation to show loyalty to their club other than merely wanting the reflected glory of supporting a winning team as is the foible of the lower orders. Fickle fans like that you can find anyday - usually walking out of Ibrox at the 80th minute when they're 2-0 down.

Because you find them difficult to answer.

Simple question, why have you only ever accused people from Lowland League teams of "tribalism" and "sectarianism" (which in themselves are bizarre outbursts) and never once accused a junior poster of it?

Here we go again more conspiracy theories than Fox Mulder.

I will guarantee there is an agenda being worked to, I think the vacancies should be filled from below in any division, creating vacancies in the lower division.
