Eyemouth 2 Duns 6

Pretty good game for the neutrals in the border derby yesterday. Game started off with a very high tempo for Duns and Eyemouth couldn't get near us. We kept this up for a good approx 35 mins and scored out of it as well. A fine robinson goal started it off. Then for the last ten mins of the first we sat back and let Eyemouth into it. They eventually got a penalty just before half time. I thought the defender was going to be sent off as he was last man but the referee didn't even show a card. Eyemouth stepped up and scored a really good penalty. Just before half time Eyemouth could have scored another but our keeper pulled off a great save.

Second half again we started really well and robinson doubled his tally for the day! Eyemouth still battled and defended well the whole game. We eventually got the third. A cant remember if wales scored this or robinson got his hat trick at this point but i think it was wales. Duns were in control but Eyemouth again pulled one back. Poor defending and a good finish made it a nervy 10 mins afterwards. A think then robinson scored his hat trick at this point and eyemouth collapsed. Wales again and waddell then completed the rout.

In all another good win, some times Duns played great and other times looked really nervy. Good saves from both keepers kept the score line down as well. The referee for both teams was very poor and he unfortunately didn't have a great game! Also great to see big Doug Brydon back after a very long lay off!
