Addie
Honestly. The marines in Arbroath are absolute arseholes of the highest order. I can't even explain how much they are c***s. They're off the c**t chart. Think they're above everything in the town. One of them shagged your Mrs didn't they?
HoBNob
They weren't even remotely pissed. Bomb-disposal boys each time. Good to see that you can deal with an unpalatable fact though. I'm not to fussed tbh, the army is a pretty large organisation, undeniably you'll have arseholes in it. Got a few mates who are marines from Arbroath, they're good guys. I'm any town that has a barracks the locals don't like the squaddies, not helped by the squaddies showing no shortage of boredom for the town they're usually posted in. Tom McB
It is Arbroath, to be fair. If they can use words with more than two syllables and don't throw spears at the sun, then there's a fair chance they are a cut above the local population... Quite. Tom McB
If soldiers earned top EPL footballers wages, everyone would be signing up. We'd turn into a North Korea, where just about every c**t is in the military. Plus it would f**k the economy There's no place for logic in this forum

Addie
I have to say I find this anti Forces agenda by the majority of posters on here quite disturbing. If I was back in the Navy, sitting on my fat arse, sipping tea in the ships office, playing Football Manager and getting paid 13% above the national average and having an index linked pension payable by the age of 40; I would be seething at these comments. In fact, the minute I set foot in Dubai and check into a subsidised hotel, I would probably go on Facebook and demand £25k per week minimum. 'Bout time folk on here showed a lil respect. Addie
The locals don't like the squaddies as they're jumped up fuckers who try and fight with anybody for no reason. They are actually called 'bootnecks' or 'booties'. A squaddie is an Army term.

I've had that argument with my mum before and she told me they were army. Googled it though and you're correct.

Tbf I usually find allot of the time you can have locals trying to make a name for themselves, not to say that they're always innocent, you'll have a decent proportion of arseholes but they're not always in the wrong as much as it's made out.
