Waspie
As sevennil said it's just sloppy journalism. There was hardly a word about our pitch until a rattled McCoist complained about it. The Record etc ran with that and suddenly it's the fashionable thing to have a go at it. "Fit/unfit for purpose" is a ridiculous expression but in this context it's even more stupid than normal. Amateur hour at the Fife Free Press.

Of course, all pitches will have their own foibles, whether it's particularly hard going, has a slope, is the size of a postage stamp (Cowden), turns to shit at the first sign of moisture etc.

At the time of the pitch being layed it was a decent one and iirc Alloa were once the only game on in Scottish Football due to the pitch. Sponsorship on the ground was to help pay. BFTD
Where is it moving too? It's off on a race round the east coast. Dunfermline are warming up to take it from us, then they pass it on to Cowden, then...well, you know

nade not tade
Was it just me or did Barry McKay not only show less fear and didn't shy away from Alloa players tackling him but also showed some grit and tried to make a few tackles himself? Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself of a positive for a dire match?
