Peffermill has always drained well - and the plans for the new stadium showed extensive drainage features. Plus they have full-time ground staff. There have been seasons in the past when the old pitch alignment never suffered a single postponement. This season their only postponement came on December 13th which was snow + freezing (only Spartans and Threave games survived - even Netherdale's 3G was off).

So I imagine any threat would be snowfall or sub-zero temperature, rather than waterlogging.

Giving the CSE Peffermill a phone-call at lunch might be a good idea:

5am (!!) EUAFC twitter : "We will tweet as soon as we know if tonight's game is on! Snow and ice currently the issue. Fingers crossed!"

10am UoESportsunion twitter : "All grass pitches at Peffermill are OFF today due to the snow. The 3G is still playable."

12noon phone call : "Not that bad in terms of snowfall. Referee's decision. The football club have got a referee coming to inspect shortly."
