Falkirk v Queen of the South

Recommended Posts

Not necessarily saying he will....but you think mark millar can't take a free kick? Totally disagree

A dead ball specialist to me equals someone who scores a fair ratio of them. A similar clamour was put towards Chris Mitchell after he scored.....erm one...

Top of the head, I can only think one Millar has scored

I've haven't mentioned Baird's name mate.

Yes I know, on account of being able to read.

The point is though that claiming someone can't perform for a club they've joined but not yet played for, might be foolish, if we take a precedent very close to home. By all accounts, Baird played well for you today.

Well, you claim that you can read so maybe you better read it again.

Where did I claim that he couldn't perform for Queens? Are you in a bad mood because you're game was off? I was having a laugh ffs and it's unlike you not to realise that!

Fancy us now. We looked good today and QoS don't nearly have the tools to cause us the problems Hibs did at times. Morgan looked a real handful in the last 15 minutes.

Who said you were limited? But you do not have one player with the quality of Allan, Cummings, Robertson, Craig or Mcgeouch. Neither do we. Your strength for me is in defence. Carmichael I rate as I do Reilly. If we stop them I fancy us.

I'm not sure if you're on the wind-up or are serious. Either way, you're way off with your statements. To start with, we've scored 34 goals this season so far (or 37 if, we add our average of 3 goals against Raith onto it :P ), Hibs have 37. I wouldn't say their "tools" are miles better than ours based on those stats.

Looking back at results as well.

Falkirk 1-0 Hibs

Falkirk 1-0 Hibs

Falkirk 3-3 Hibs

Falkirk 5-3 Hibs

QoS 1-1 Falkirk

QoS 3-0 Falkirk

QoS 4-1 Falkirk

And FWIW

QoS 1-0 Hibs

QoS 0-0 Hibs

QoS 1-0 Hibs

I'm not for a second implying that we have the same quality that the Hibs squad does. I believe Hibs will finish at least 3rd this season, and would be my favourite for promotion via the play-offs (as well as the side I'd want to see go up that way if it wasn't us). But to imply that we don't pose as big a threat as them against you is just plain wrong. It's clear to see going by this seasons stats that QoS have been a far more difficult encounter for Falkirk than Hibs. We are good at the back this season, but it's not the main reason we are as high up the table. It's pretty clear that we can score goals this season and pose as big a threat as any other team in the division. We certainly aren't 'hit teams on the break' type team that a couple of Falkirk posts would have you believe (Never quoted the other post from the other Falkirk fan).

Next Saturday will tell a tale. What has happened this season so far means not a jot. We have now only lost one in 8, have competition right through the side now and I believe QOS will not cause us the problems Hibs did today as I believe they have better players than QOS. It is my opinion, you don't agree, move on.

Erm trying to take a more balanced view...queens are a more settled team than us with less movement okay you will never sell players for the money we do because like it or not you are deemed a much smaller club ...however you are probably a better team than us at the moment & if we finish above you which is by no means certain then I think we will be fourth which should have been our target at the start of the season eta ..& this has nothing to do with hehaw but I bought alex coopers mcraes battalion top he must be tiny ..if that's a large we are all wearing xxxxxxl & I'm not that big

You're entitled to your opinion, but in your previous posts your opinion was wrong ;) Again, in no way am I implying that we have better players than Hibs, we don't. But we can cause teams problems and the stats show we are just as dangerous on the attack as Hibs; whether they have better players or not. To imply that our main strength is defence and that we don't have the tools to cause Falkirk problems going forward is a very ignorant view off QoS indeed.

Yeah, fair enough.

I'll wander off and pick an argument with someone else.

I see.

So taking into account recent history, based on the last few months and featuring results between the relevant sides is worthless; but focusing on the magic figure of the last 8 games is entirely valuable and can be relied upon.

Is that a general rule you'd adhere to, or is it just really handy for your purposes on this occasion?

It's really hurting the Falkirk fans that they are behind a diddy team such as ourselves. Quite a few "heads gone" and "rattled" style posts.

Reminds me of when we pumped Partick in the Ramsdens Cup.

Hmmmm.....the self deprecation bit comes across as a wee bit "try too hard". I actually think that it's you who are more rattled than anyone else. We have been no great shakes this season, but we've gotten a whole lot better in the past few weeks. Saturday is going to be interesting, one way or the other.
