Bomber behind the goals
ImageUploadedByPie & Bovril1420560793.467010.jpg I have to say it was a great feeling leaving the ground on Saturday. Now I have had time to reflect on the game I think Whitehill Welfare thoroughly deserved the three points after a very shaky start.I'm sure the Edinburgh City supporters will be wanting to pat us on the back for putting a dent in Spartans title aspirations, looks like the Scottish cup is your only hope of real glory this season. No pressure against Berwick then, a defeat and the sun will be well and truly set on your season . Just saying !!

Grim O'Grady
Isn't that the moon ? Yes but why let astronomy get in the way of another anti-Spartans thread, it's not like there haven't been any before? So Bomber are you saying the Lowland League Cup is just some pishy vessel? Grimbo Spartans FC 1. Currently sat in 3rd position in the league. 2. Top of our group in the Lowland League Cup (having won all 3 of our games including beating e-City & WW). 3. The last team from the Lowland League still in the Big Scottish (in the last 16 with a home tie vs Berwick Rangers).

Cicero
Okay fair enough. The more I think about it, the first time that I was at Ainslie Park I thought that it was bizarre to build the only stand facing south., while squinting my eyes against the sun. Simplistic
The stand faces West. Or is that what you mean?
HibeeJibee
I feel the message to take from this thread is not infact footballing, but that if you ever buy a sundial, don't get someone from Rosewell or Gretna to install it...
Cicero
Just a rubbish sense of direction.
surely not! A sundial? That type of technology hasn't reached Gretna of Rosewell yet......

HoppingMad
The ONLY direction important so far this season at Ainslie Park, is the direction of the referee's arm's in awarding decision's. At last we seem to have referees appointed to games here that have actually grown a 'pair' and are not afraid to give decisions against Spartans. Away sides are coming here and getting a fair crack instead of playing the usual 12 men! Long may it continue....

HibeeJibee
Spartans last 3 league results, also their last 3 home league results, are: Lost - Spartans 0-2 Preston Lost - Spartans 1-3 Whitehill Lost - Spartans 0-3 BSC Glasgow Does anyone know the last time Spartans lost 3 home league games on the trot? Going by Statto and Soccerway, they lost 3 league games in a row at the end of 2012-13: Whitehill 2-0 Spartans, Stirling 2-0 Spartans, Spartans 0-2 Edinburgh Uni but 2 of those were away. Before that I can't find any, but Soccerway only goes back to 2005-06. EDIT: I forgot about Herveius which was an unofficial Spartans website, long-defunct but recoverable through Wayback. It pushes it back to at least 2000-01 (at which point either the website or the archiving started). Anyone?
