Suspect Device
I was at the gig as well. Agreed, not their best but since I've been attending their Scottish gigs (plus 2 in Manchester) since Nigel had hair I've got a lot to compare it with. Neil was having a lot of bother basically changing all his set up from scratch at the start of the gig and the sound didn't get any better. Much prefer them up at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen. Bought another "Avoiding real work since 1985" T shirt simply because it's the 30th anniversary of them starting the band and me starting my apprenticeship. They've done better avoiding real work than I have.
Ziggy
I've been 'singing' Joy Division Oven Gloves all day. Shame I only know 4 words.
Fuctifano
Missed the fact they're playing the ABC in September, tremendous news. Think I've seen them twice (maybe 3 times) in Edinburgh and once in Newcastle so will be good to add another one to the list.
Cardinal Richelieu
Posted this last week but it got deleted in the Great P+B crash. They're playing at the ABC on Friday? Anyone going? I'll be wearing a Dukla Prague away kit and walking with a limp.
dorlomin
Seen them tonight at the Kentish Town Forum. Pretty ace.

Suspect Device
New album out on the 21st Oct. And some fell on stony ground. Compilation album of 'rarities'. One for the completist because I've got all the tracks already. Disappointed to see that Mr Cave's a Window Cleaner now isn't included on it. Or Mars Ultras, You'll Never Make the Station.
BallochSonsFan
I'd love to hear Referees Alphabet over the tanoy at our ground, if only to annoy those who constantly shout at the officials demanding imaginary fouls. I'd also love to turn up at the all night garage a bloke I know from the ice hockey works at and ask for 2 scotch eggs and a jar of marmite. Wish they'd tour more often.

Appears to be the three EPs - that website btw is already now saying it will be November instead. Clearly this is to thwart the illicit eBay trade in overpriced copies of Saucy Haulage Ballads...

Happy Birthday. I thought some bright spark would bring out Joy Division oven gloves. If the wife sees them online I know what I'm getting for Xmas. And it's not a dukla Prague away kit.

Cardinal Richelieu
Playing at the ABC on Friday 13th October. Not the best venue for their gigs I've found, but then again, beggars can't really be choosers.

Well in one song they sang about Dumfries & Galloway, Plockton and Skye - so they're certainly aware of the Highlands!
