The Albert gave a belated Christmas present of three points to Perthshire today at Keppoch Park.

The game started of with the Albert having most of the play but without really testing the Perthshire keeper.

It was on the 15 min when they created the first real chance when from a good run down the wing Stokoe crossed but there was no takers for a simple tap in.

Within the next 5mins the Perthshire keeper pulled of two good saves. But after 25mins the Albert took a deserved lead when from a neat move Alan Campbell ran and scored.

The Albert looked to have added to their lead when Saaf header seemed goal bound but the Perthshire keeper tipped the ball over the bar.

The Albert were made to pay for these missed chances when from a free kick the Albert keeper fumble the shot and it fell at the feet of the Perthshire strikers feet who tapped in the rebound. Their first shot on goal .

The second half was very dull for the first 15 mins, There was an incident when a foul on the Alberts. Clarke developed into a rammy which resulted in Perthshire number 6 being sent off rather harshly. Instead of lifting the Albert they went back the way and started giving the ball away, Perthshire to their credit were up for the fight, a mixture of poor passing and bad finishing kept the score even but with ten mins to go they went 2-1 up from what can only be termed as a piece of luck when from a free kick which was headed out to the edge of the left hand side of the box the Perthshire player hooked the ball over his head back into the box only for it to hit the top corner of the net.

The Albert hit the post and the Perthshire keeper pulled of another two good saves to keep the score down.

As the referee whistle went for full time the Albert must look at this as another three points thrown away, Perthshire fought hard and defended well.

Well done to the Perthshire committee for the changes made at Keppoch park a lot of hard work has paid off.
