19QOS19
I genuinely havent a clue what you mean? None of our young players will be leaving for free in the summer so no idea what your point is. If someone came in for our youngsters just there then they'd have had to pay a transfer fee. Out with McShane, that won't be the case come the end of the season as the boys will be out of contract. They'll still have to pay the 'youngster fee' or whatever it's called. It'll still be cheaper than that AND a transfer fee. So to alter it to be precise: "No one is going to pay for our youngsters just now when they could get them far cheaper in 4 months time".

Rangers got 250k for a player who had played about 3 games for them, not I don't for one minute think the value will be near that level. But Reilly, Holt and McShane are proven players, should easily be looking for decent money for the 3.

You don't appear to properly understand how the system works to be honest. If any of our u23's want to leave in the summer then Development Compensation will be due. It will be up to their new clubs to negotiate an amicable fee (effectively the same as transferring them) or go to a Tribunal which largely could set any price it feels. It most likely would be lower than a transfer fee now but there's no guarantee of that and the implication that it will be a nominal fee is nonsense. And they certainly wouldn't have to pay that on top of a transfer fee. We can't stop them leaving in the summer if they want to and if someone else is prepared to sign them and hang their hats on a tribunal fee. It would be quite unusual for it to go that far though. It's much more likely that any prospective new club would want to negotiate a fee first. Look at the mess Bradford found themselves in when they didn't do that with Falkirk as regards Mark Stewart. Skyline Drifter
Does that include Durnan, who isnt 23 until November? It includes anyone who is under 23 at the end of the present season, provided we have offered them a new contract on equivalent or better terms of course. Will it cost teams less to take our youngsters come summer, than it would had they taken them just there?
LogieLivi
I was under the illusion that you could only have a maximum of 2/3 players loaned from the 1 club.

Domestically two normal or emergency loans per club (1 if that club is in the same division) + 1 Development loan from the same club if desired. Internationally there are no limits.
