Looking to book a trip for me and the missus in February and March. Looking for any recommendations for decent hotels near the city centre. Looking for something half decent without paying through the nose for it!!

Thinking of booking a couple of nights in Dublin in November to take the missus away for her birthday.

We'll probably be about the city for the 3 days, is a hire car worth it for getting around or is the public transport decent enough?

Unless you're going out of town you'll probably just be walking.

Ideal, I'm looking at Temple Bar as it seems pretty central.

Last time I was over I stayed up in Swords as it was on business, so never really been into the city before.

We've ended up booking into a place called The Morgan on Fleet Street. Seems to get some really decent reviews on trip advisor, plus has a cocktail bar on the ground floor so thats kept the missus happy.
