Starting your own business: ideas

I feel like making this my latest pipe dream goal for 2015, but I'm at a loss as to what to do.

My degree isn't vocational so I don't have any skills that I could use to start up a business so-to-speak, but I'm up for working hard and putting in the hours.

I love the thought of working for yourself. Where do you start though?!

 This is going absolutely nowhere. Pop down to your nearest Tesco and get a job on the tills instead of wafting your half-thoughts in the public domain.

Scam porn phone line or website, only take a pound or so.

Shows up on bank statement as something horrendous, nobody will claim it back.

Time you keep changing the site or advert in the paper it's going to be pretty much untraceable.

Jewelry.

Due to working in this area I probably can't say too much, but recently I was looking over a business plan where the boy had done a vast amount of market research, and essentially earrings that're £70 in the shops can be purchased wholesale (excluding packaging) for 93p. If you buy wholesale, and sell these earrings at huge 80% or whatever reduction on Daily Deal websites (of course packaging/ overheards/ VAT to take into account), you can still make a large percentage profit while the customer thinks they've got a superb deal. If done properly, over multiple pieces of jewelry you can easily strike up a good relationship with a Daily Deal website and you're sorted, with the potential to make 1/2k in pure profit in a 48 hour period when the deal is running.

Certainly when I read over his market research/ figures I found myself questioning why I was getting paid what I do to sit in an office analysing this when I could be at home putting in bulk orders to wholesellers, putting stuff on Daily Deal websites and laughing away to myself at the profit in comparison to work done.....
