bennett
I think we'd bottle a play off match, just can't see us going up if McCoist is still in charge. It's looking like we'll be in this league for atleast 2 seasons.
CowdenConvert
I think we'd bottle a play off matchMaybe you don't know the rules but you get at least two play-off matches. Bottling a single match is a cup competition thing.
bennett
Tbf i've always seen the play offs as being cup like games, i just can't see us going up via that way.

It's looking like we'll be in this league for atleast 2 seasons. The play-off system should be: 11th Place from the Premiership v 4th Place from the Championship 2nd Place from the Championship v 3rd Place from the Championship Then the winner of the 2 games play each other in the final in 2 legs. RedRob72
The way we're playing at the moment a play off place would be a gift, Friday's game at QoS will be a huge measure of where we are really at! Get it sorted Ally
thepundit
The current play-off system seems like it was the only way the Premier League clubs were going to agree to it as it's set up, arguably unfairly, to give the Premiership team the best chance of avoiding relegation. Ah well, I'm in favour of there being no play-off anyway. A simple two up and two down system is the fairest way. Does a team who finished say, fourth for example, 20+ points adrift of the second placed team deserve to be promoted? Not really. To be mediocre for 36 games and get promoted anyway just isn't right. Neither is it fair that a club so poor with it's finances for many years, and continues to be, outspends the rest of this league by a considerable margin AND BE allowed to compete. RandomGuy.
Whoever finishes 11th in the Premiership this season will get pumped rotten in the play-offs. St Mirren yes, theyre utterly fucking shite. Ross County not so much, theyve turned around and are a win away from going on a run, theyll also spend like f**k next month. Then youre looking at Motherwell, who shouldnt be underestimated.

Others have noted that Premiership clubs probably wouldn't agree to it; but in any case, it's hampered by the logistics of the situation... whilst Premiership plays 38 games and ends mid/late-May, Championship plays 36 and ends early-May. Let's be clear here. Clubs like St. Mirren and Motherwell who are rife with Old Firm sympathisers from head to toe would shite it from their name alone. Insert Amusing Pseudonym
Terry Butcher inspired Motherwell to hoofball their way to a victory over Hibs.

But the SPL clubs wanted something so loaded in their favour it would take a spectacularly shite team to get themselves relegated by it.
