At times today it was hard to tell which team were league leaders. A poor performance at times by both sides.

Shocking defending for the opening goal for Murray, which was matched by more poor football and weak back pass to allow Shire to equalise. After going 2-1 down you have to applaud Alan Moore for his substitutions which helped Arbroath get a foothold in the game and start to exert the pressure. In fact it was the introduction of Kevin Buchan as the final sub which made all the difference. He seemed to be the only forward player who could hold the ball up and allow others to get into the game. Interesting that it was both loan players who were replaced! After a MoTM performance last week, Dylan did not play anywhere near as well today. Possibly he wanted to finish his loan spell in a blaze of glory and tried too hard to beat one man too many.

In the end a relieved traveling support saw the Red Licthies gain a valuable 3 points to keep them clear at the top , which was especially important with their 2 closest challengers also winning.

Not sure what was going on in the crowd after the winning goal went in. It looked like a couple of older guys were squaring up and trading insults before the Shire fan was led away by a steward and possibly ejected. Crazy!

Thought we played well today, Arbroath's 1st goal was a terrible one to give away, absolute gift of a goal. Donnelly was brilliant again and keeps getting better with every game he plays. Great finish from about 40 yards by McCabe for our 2nd. Draw would of probably been a fair result. Also what was the referee thinking when he disallowed our goal to give us a free kick in our own half!!! Apart from that the ref was pretty good.

Seen it from the home end. Embarrassing, even worse that it was our stadium announcer who was the shire fan involved!

Wouldn't really call it a disallowed goal, whistle blown well before the shot.

The stadium announcer was led away after marching along and giving some abuse to the lichtie support. Seemingly he'd been at it the whole game.

The security person dealt with him as they should.

The verbals (infront of a young boy) was shocking!! Whats going on with some people?

Shagger made the difference when he came on yesterday but that was a very flat performance overall. We were gifted the opener due to a lack of communication at the back for the Shire but apart from that I don't remember there keeper having to make a save in the 1st half. McCallum was the busier keeper and pulled off a fine save from a Shire free kick that looked destined for the top corner of his net. We started the 2nd half flat as well and Shire scored a very well worked equaliser before they took the lead capitalising on a McCallum error.

I was happy to see Dylan replaced as he offered very little as an attacking sense. After Shagger's introduction we raised our game and he scored 2 poacher type goals. ....even tho I can't believe how poor the Shire marking was for our 2nd.

Murray or Johnstone would have got my man of the match. Thought Nicoll was quite poor again and Hunter didn't have his best game.

3 points is 3 points though :)

So the goals go up on the SPFL YouTube?

No, its just recorded for the SFA in case something happens and it has to be reviewed. Such as a red card, or a fight or something, but its not edited for publishing. If someone edited it, the SFA would put it on their youtube, but no one does. No idea why.

Bit of a waste to be honest, considering not all fans can attend games
